Trip Log:

Parked in the garage and then headed for the tram and over to DCA. Walked through Condor Flats, around GRR and out to the Pier. Walked by Ariels, Screamin, and over to the Fun Wheel. The line was 45 minutes so skipped it and kept walking, stopping at the SS Rustworthy for some pictures. Then finished the loop and walked through the Wharf, Farm Area and Bugsland on my way to the Backlot. Not much happening so headed back up the street and over to Disneyland. Strolled down Main Street and into Tomorrowland. Grabbed Fastpasses for Buzz then walked over by Captain EO to see if anything was going on. Next walked back to Main Street (by the Matterhorn and Castle). Headed into Frontierland and around the Rivers of America for some pictures. Walked out to Critter Country then doubled back and hopped on the train. Rode around to Main Street and headed back to DCA. This time reversed my trek and went down the Backlot and through Bugs to get to the Pier. The Fun Wheel was only a 15 min wait so went for a spin. Once back on the ground doubled back past Screamin and headed for the Wharf and dinner. Ate some bread and then headed for Disneyland. Stopped by the Lion King tram stop to see the new tram doors, then walked up Main Street and into Tomorrowland. Grabbed a Fastpass for Autopia and hiked out to the Small World Mall. Went for a spin on the Tea Cups then headed back to Tomorrowland to use our Buzz Fastpass. Then over to Autopia to use that one as well. Decided to head back to DCA. Walked out to the Pier to see what was going on (they were preparing for some World of Color testing). We had time so wandered over to Bugsland and went on all four attractions in about half an hour then back to the Pier to see if any testing was going on yet. Hung around the Pier until it started to rain and by 8:45ish started heading for the exit since the rain was coming down pretty good. Decided to hike back to the garage due to the large crowd at the tram stop and the rain. Once back to the garage headed for the car and home.

Other Interesting Stats:
* Moderate Walking Stats (meaning over 2.5mph): 19,066 steps, 165 minutes.

For Comparisons to other trips or more park miles click here to visit our park Miles Section.

Note: These totals may be skewed because the pedometer is zero'd when we start and then left alone and read when we leave. So attractions, and other things may cause extra "steps" to be counted. The pedometer that we use basically measures up/down motion as a step, so if your standing in line and moving up and down it may be counting steps, etc.. so the total distances traveled and steps may be off.. so use these as rough distance comparisons between trips and they may not be accurate in terms of actual distance traveled.

My Thoughts & Observations:

Hello all,

Friday was a nice relaxing day at the Disneyland Resort for me. I had no real agenda except to roam the parks and hang out with the Lazygeek and his son. The crowds were on the heavy side, especially considering the cool and cloudy weather with rain in the forecast. We were expecting it to be a quiet off season day and instead it turned out to be slightly larger than usual crowds. Making it onto attractions with a reasonable wait time took some luck and patience. For example the first loop around the Pier the Fun Wheel line for non-swinging was posted at 45 minutes (it stretched all the way up the exit ramp), but later in the afternoon it was about a 15 min wait only. Bugsland had posted 20 minute waits throughout the afternoon but by evening everything was a walk on.
