- 6:52am - The sun rising outside as we prepare to set off for the day.
- Today turned out to be a Good to Go day, meaning no reservations needed, but I had one from months ago when I booked it.
- 7:25am - On my way to the bus stop.
- 7:27am - My bus to Disney's Animal Kingdom
- 7:41am - Arrived at Disney's Animal Kingdom, dropped off at a fairly far spot though
- 7:45am - Through security.
- 7:47am - Day guests waiting to be let in. Early entry started at 7:30. The park opens at 8:00am. Day guests go to the right to queue up. Resort guests to the left for early entry.
- 7:50am - The Tree of Life, about 25 minutes from my room to here this morning.
- Decided to head to Asia first
- It looks rather empty out here and closed. Kali River Rapids has a sign saying it does not open till 9am.
- No signs on the Maharajah Jungle Trek
- No cast members either so decided to check the app.. oops, it doesn't open until 8:45am.
- 7:59am - On my way to Africa hoping to get ahead of the rope drop crowd still.
- 8:02am - Making my way into the queue for Kilimanjaro Safari. I was ahead of the rope drop crowd, I could see them starting to appear on the bridge behind me (did not take the time to stop for a photo)
- Nice not to have to walk the extended queue.
- 8:15am - Only one load station in use right now.
- 8:16am - My truck arrives
- Hippos
- Zebra
- Greater Kudu
- More cast members than animals out at the moment. Learned later they were introducing a new baby giraffe today. We did not see it.
- A cheetah laying around
- Male lion looking around
- The lions were active this morning
- Then they laid down.
- 8:43am - Passing by the Tree of Life on my way back to Asia.
- Thought the reflection looked nice this morning.
- 8:48am - The first guests were being let into Maharajah Jungle Trek as I arrived.
- Bakso was looking at the water when I arrived
- Then he went off to the far side near the windows with his mother.
- They were a little active this morning

- Some wrestling going on.
- Bakso put on his show now time to rest.
- The Discovery River from the bridge in Asia
- 9:30am - Discovery Island was quiet.
- 9:38am - Leaving Disney's Animal Kingdom
- Park to park buses do not start until 10am, so decided to go a more fun route to the Grand Floridian then Monorail to the Magic Kingdom. It did not save time but was more interesting.
- 9:53am - Finally pulling out of the Animal Kingdom bus stop.
