12:29pm - Leaving the Magic Kingdom and setting off for the Contemporary. Noticed the Express Monorail was down.
12:36pm - On my way to the Contemporary

The extended queue for the Monorail was in use so we decided to walk back to the Magic Kingdom.
The Express Monorail was still closed. A tractor was out on the track.
1:20pm - Thought about taking the boat to the Grand Floridian but there were a lot of guests waiting and the next boat was out at the Polynesian still.
So we walked to the Grand Floridian. The Polynesian DVC on the opposite shore

They had a large boat on the route today, here it is heading to the Magic Kingdom, I do not think we would have made it onto that boat with the crowd that was ahead of us.

The lobby of the Grand Floridian was very crowded this afternoon. Here is the gingerbread house.
I snapped a few pictures but had to do it through the guests queued up in the area.

This is the crowd waiting for the Monorail. It was backed up and wrapping a few times in the walkway just to reach security which was stalled due to the platform queue being full.
2:19pm - Boarding a boat to the Polynesian. We made it on by a couple groups only.

There was a healthy queue of guests on the dock waiting for the boat to the Magic Kingdom.
They have painted some of the concrete brown, assuming as a test before doing the entire building.

The clouds are rolling in. This afternoon a big storm front was forecast.

The express Monorail was back in service and the Polynesian queue was reasonable so took the Monorail back to the Magic Kingdom. Here is a look at the Polynesian DVC project from the Monorail.

The boat queue is much shorter now.
3:15pm - Tonight is a party night at the Magic Kingdom, all those guests are waiting to be let in.
3:16pm - I am heading for the bus stop to try and get outta here before the rain.
3:34pm - A parade of buses arriving, one of which is ours.
3:58pm - Back at the Beach Club, nearly 40 minutes to return this afternoon.
The storm rolled through with some heavy down pours and some lightning and thunder.
6:19pm - The heavy rain had passed so I decided to head for the lobby and see what was going on while waiting for the smaller bands to roll through.
