  • 8:18 - Ready for our first park of the day and waiting for our bus. It says 8:27 for the next Animal Kingdom bus.

  • 8:21am - Our bus arrives.

  • We get to hike through the extended queue, but not stopped so that is good.

  • 8:58am - We were stopped on the bridge a few minutes. No trucks arriving so must be animals in the roadway.

  • 9:46am - Time to head to conservation station, the trains started running at 9:30am.

  • 10:31am - Made my way to a spot with a view of the eastern sky to see what can be seen of the SpaceX launch this morning.
  • 10:32am - You can see the vapor trail to the left of center in this picture. Not a great view of this launch.
  • Cleaning the enclosure this morning.
  • Time for the Maharajah Jungle Trek

  • 10:53am - Returned to Africa for Festival of the Lion King
  • No wait at the moment
  • Some pictures from my seat for the show about half way up.

  • Spent some time roaming the Tree of Life Garden
  • Taking a walk through Dinoland USA

  • Some Walt Disney World 50th items are still on menus throughout the parks.
  • The World's Largest Pin truck has a fairly small assortment of pins
  • 20th anniversary pins seemed odd.. given the park turns 25 in 3 days.
  • No progress in Dinoland on any future projects yet.

  • A lot of leaves on the ground looked more like fall than spring.
  • 1:45pm - A 15 minute wait posted for the Safari again so decided to give it a try.
  • 1:52pm - Directed onto a truck in the accessibility loading area, they were trying to fill it so directed a couple rows of guests from the regular queue.

  • 2:37pm - Calling it a day at Animal Kingdom and returning to the room before going to another park.
  • This gift shop has not reopened yet.
  • The exit path to the buses was closed and you were being directed through the middle of the security checkpoint instead.
