- 5:37am - Looking out on a quiet Crescent Lake as we prepare to go fishing this morning.
- 6:00am - Boardwalk Lobby is really quiet as you would expect at this hour.
- 6:11am - Our cab arrives.
- 6:23am - Arrived at Disney's Contemporary Resort
- We were early so hung out in the lobby for a few minutes.
- Current prices for offerings at the Marina.
- Sunrise on Bay Lake
- Thought this was interesting, one of the small boats was making the rounds. Not sure if they were training or testing or what.
- 6:43am - Spotted our boat arriving.
- We did not travel far from the marina.. just down the shoreline toward the channel that leads
- The sun was still rising as we began fishing.
- Another boat on the other side of the channel
- A third boat passed between us on its way to the far side of Bay Lake
- A fish being reeled in.
- A Magic Kingdom Ferry Boat crossing Bay Lake on its way to the Seven Seas Lagoon
- 8:31am - We relocated to the far side of Bay Lake.
- Bay Lake Tower
- Wilderness Lodge
- 8:55am - Time to head back to the marina and wrap up our trip.
- An activity being advertised at the Contemporary near the Monorail station.
- 9:29am - Waiting to board the Monorail. We decided to take it to the Magic Kingdom vs walking.
- 9:35am - On our way.
- This panel would not stay closed. We pushed it closed a couple of times during our ride.
- Looking out at the Golf Course, from this vantage point you cannot see the work yet from further down the line you get a glimpse through the trees of the clearing work for the new holes as they work to reconfigure the course and roadway.
- Demolition will start soon on this former dinner theater.
- Work going on to transform this building from regular hotel rooms to DVC accommodations.
- Almost to the Magic Kingdom
- 9:49am - Disembarked and starting our walk to the park. 20 minutes since arriving at the Monorail platform almost 30 minutes since deciding to ride vs walk.
- A good number of other guests arriving the same time we are.
- 9:55am - Arrived in Town Square just in time to get yelled at by cast members. We were clear of the tracks, as you can see, but there were two or three CMs yelling loudly at guests to get out of the way.
- Figured out the issue is they wanted a path for the characters to exit on. But it seems there could have been a much better way to do this vs just yelling at guests to clear the area. That made for a fairly poor first impression of the Magic Kingdom.

- We did not try the Mural of Memories.. saw this sign for it though.

- The Main Street Philharmonic performing on the castle stage
- 10:17am - Entered the Haunted Mansion queue.
- Spotted a Wi-Fi access point. Too bad they did not cover or paint it.
- 10:47 - In the stretching room. So a 30 minute wait.
- 11:00am - Exiting the Haunted Mansion.
- 11:17am - Time for the Country Bear Jamboree
- 11:40 - PeopleMover time.
- Tomorrowland
- The TRON entrance work
- Walkway and planter work
- The steam train tunnel/path is a also a break room.
- Looks like they have started to work on this portion of the railroad again.
- Buzz Lightyear was down so all the lights were on as we passed by.
- This seating area is blocked off. It is not used until the evening dessert parties, so why not let guests each lunch there or just relax with the nice views.
- Back to a busy Main Street USA
- Decided to leave the park for lunch today.
