Departing Disney's Hollywood Studios on the Disney Skyliner at 12:19pm
Drew a wrapped gondola so the view was obstructed and there were several in a row so did not bother to ask to wait.
12:23pm transferring at Caribbean Beach Resort.
A few minutes later back in the air on my way to Disney's Riviera Resort.
Caribbean Beach Resort with the Skyliner in the mid ground and Spaceship Earth in the background.
Flying toward Disney's Riviera Resort.
Caribbean Beach Resort
This line appears to fly higher over the resort than the other segment along Buena Vista Drive. In the background you see the Contemporary and Bay Lake Tower.
Approaching the station.
12:29pm reached Disney's Riviera Resort, so 12 minutes travel time since entering the queue.
A look back at the station. This side boards for those wanting to travel to Epcot. Notice there is almost no covered space.
Warnings about the Skyliner on A-Frames (these seem to be the communication method of choice at WDW).
Riviera Trash Cans.
A sign to help you know which side of the station to board for which destination.
Walking toward the Riviera Resort.
This side of the Skyliner boards for those wanting to go to Caribbean Beach Resort and connections to the other two lines.
There is a covered walkway to this side of the station.
The pavement here features rocks/shells in it.
Nearing the resort.
A closer look at one of the rooms.
The resort map.
Signs to direct you.. not overly helpful since everything is straight ahead.
A Peter Pan mosaic covers the first archway you cross under. There were too many people for a nice wide angle this afternoon.
A bridge for those staying on the second floor to reach their rooms.
A second mosaic features Tangled.
Rooms facing the courtyard.
Signs to help you out as you walk through the courtyard.
The Beau Soleil Pool (the quiet pool area)
Looking back at where I just walked from
Hedges help to keep the pool area private.
A closer look at some of the signs
Notice the Skyliner in the distance
Swings and benches in the pool area.
The central courtyard was still blocked off as they cleaned up from this mornings festivities.
A small recreational space in the central courtyard.
Primo Piatto is the quick service dining location for the resort.
The menu
A quick look around. It was busy so a little challenging to take pictures.
Some Christmas decorations are up.
The walls of the dining area feature images of Walt's travels.
The Riviera Pool area is right outside
S'il Vous Play area is also nearby.
Next door is Bar Riva
A closer look at S'il Vous Play
Looking out toward the Caribbean Beach Resort.
Walking back toward where I came from.
Still cleaning up in the activity area.
Heading inside a Christmas tree
Artwork is present on many of the hallway walls. Here is a painting of the resort.
The lobby was busy with first day check ins, media and others checking out the resort.
Looking out from the lobby.
A small cafe off the lobby. Le Petit Cafe
It can only hold 32 people.
La Boutique the resort gift shop is next door in the lobby.
It was very busy this afternoon.
A large selection of resort merchandise available.
Continuing around the lobby is the front entrance.
Bus stops were down that path.
Continuing my counter clockwise look around the lobby, next up is the front desk area.
Located down the hallway is the Voyageurs' Lounge
More Walt pictures in the hallway.
Cinderella Castle artwork
A look down the hallway, I did not venture down it to check out the art at the far end.
Instead I headed up the elevator to see what you could see from Topolino's Terrace.. which I found to be closed.
They do not serve lunch and the doors are closed so you could not even get a glance inside.
But there was one window in the elevator lobby that gave a view outside to sample what you would see from the terrace.
A closer look at the Swan and Dolphin
Looking toward Epcot
Off to the right Animal Kingdom to the left Tower of Terror
The spires of Batuu to the far left
Back down on the ground and heading out.
