- A look out the window just before 7am as I prepare to begin my day.
- 7:15am my first destination of the morning is in sight, Disney's Hollywood Studios.
- Making my way to the front entrance.
- Work underway on the right hand side, appears to be utility work.
- 7:25am and about to enter the park.
- Hollywood Blvd at 7:30am. I secured my boarding group for Rise of the Resistance, group 68 today, after a minor snag with the system not thinking my entire party was in the park yet.
- Echo Lake Christmas tree as the sun was rising still.
- Cast Members Lined up to guide you to either Batuu or Toy Story Land.
- Taking Commissary Lane
- It seemed a majority of guests were heading toward Batuu.
- This is my first visit to Batuu at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
- As you enter there are a lot of Cast Members to help you out and point in in the correct direction for your destination.
- Chewie was also helping.
- 7:37am entered the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance queue after I found the proper cast member and had my Magic Band scanned to use my FastPass+ from yesterday. My boarding group was not reached yesterday so I received a FastPass good for any time today (or it could be used on any other attraction at Walt Disney World).
- It was nice to walk through this queue. Most months of the year this looks like it could be miserable with no real shade and air flow seemed minimal.
- The back side of water on Batuu.
- I caught up to the queue just as you enter the inside queue portion.
- Places to sit along the way.. but somehow every time we stopped I was not near one and when we were walking I passed several.
- Surprised the exit sign was not one that turned on when there was a problem or that it was not integrated more.
- A supply locker of some sort.
- Traveling deeper into the base.
- Passing through the armory.
- 8:04am about to enter the briefing room. 27 minute wait in the queue.
- BB-8 rolling around.
- Rey appears to explain the mission.
- Our shuttle crew.
- Poe will be escorting us.
- Heading out to the shuttle.
- Our shuttle awaits.
- To the right is Poe's X-Wing.
- Ready to board our shuttle.
- Ready to take off.
- We end up being taken captive by the First Order and pulled into a Star Destroyer.
- Disembarking our shuttle into a hangar on a Star Destroyer we are greeted by Storm Troopers in the large hangar.
- Looking back at our shuttle.
- Under the watchful eye of several guards.
- At this point the timing seemed off and we were holding the bay too long. The next shuttle full of prisoners arrived.
- Eventually inched our way into a corridor.
- We were divided up to be sent to interrogation.
- You were told to stand on a color.
- Waiting to be put into a cell.
- Once locked inside a Storm Trooper watched us.
- Kylo Ren stopped by to start questioning us.
- He was called to the bridge and at this point we were broken out of our cell by fellow members of the resistance.
- We are then loaded into first order transports and told the plan is to use them to get to the escape pods.
- Setting off into the Star Destroyer
- As you would expect things get out of control and go from bad to worse as you try to escape.
- You encounter Storm Troopers
- Two full size AT-ATs are in this hangar.
- Not a good picture.. but that is Kylo Ren on the bridge.
- A second encounter with Kylo Ren.
- Found the escape pod...
- Back on Batuu.
- 8:39am - exiting back to Batuu. For a total time of 63 minutes from entering the queue and 35 from entering the mission briefing.
- Coke droid cart.
- Time to leave Batuu and find the rest of my group.
- Restrooms at the head of Grand Ave opened recently.
- Hmm.. the womens room entrance.
- And off to the side the mens room.
- Only a 5 min wait for Star Tours.
- Walls up for where the Mickey Mouse Shorts will be moving in.
- Passing through Echo Lake.
- Time to head Disney's Animal Kingdom.
- 8:53am - Boarding the bus to Disney's Animal Kingdom.
