Woke up to cloudy skies and a light rain.. but the forecast called for heavy rain and thunderstorms so we opted to hang out in the room.
The heavy rain came through late morning, around 11am.
Went to take a look around while we waited for the next cell to pass.
It was very quiet on the Boardwalk with the cold rain.
Finally around 12:30 it let up and no more big cells on the radar.
So we decided to venture to Epcot for some lunch.
Since it was Sunday ESPN had a line.

Passing by Japan the area to the right is walled off as work has begun on a new restaurant.
In the American Adventure lobby there is a gingerbread display with some Washington Landmarks.

Since my last visit a new exhibit has moved into the American Heritage Gallery.
The new exhibit title - Creating Tradition Innovation and Change in American Indian Art.

Work is underway for a new walkway that will lead to the Ratatouille attraction.

Took a boat back to the Boardwalk to catch a bus to our next destination.
Driving by the backside of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge on World Drive. This is more the view I am used to from Anaheim.
Next stop Disney's Animal Kingdom.
Seems many others had the same idea this afternoon, it was around 3:30pm
The project around the Otter area is taking a very long time to complete.

Went for a walk through Gorilla Falls.
Colobus Monkeys, notice the young one just up from the center of the frame.
Several Gorillas were out today.
4:11pm and Marketplace was closed already for the evening.
Next up trip on Kilimanjaro Safari - spotted a yellow-backed duiker in the forest area.

Had some time before Festival of the Lion King so walked through Pandora.
Back to Africa and used a FastPass+ for Festival of the Lion King.

Next stop Epcot.
The Guardians of the Galaxy building from the parking lot.
It had been a very long time since I had approached the park from the parking lot (thanks to a friend who drove me from Animal Kingdom to Epcot).
A 20 minute stand by so decided to visit Spaceship Earth since it looked shorter.
Turned out to be under 10 minutes.
But the ride kept stopping so it was a very long ride.

Stopped by Mexico. The interactive screens were in operation this visit so we played around a little.
You create a character then you receive a picture via PhotoPass.
Decided to go for a cruise on the Gran Fiesta Tour
Walked around World Showcase Lagoon since we had time before Illuminations.

Friendship Boats lined up in the channel and under the bridges waiting for the all clear to enter Epcot and dock for the evening.
Lights on this evening and a couple workers preparing the site. First night we have seen activity.
