The text list below contains the captions of all images in the set.
After stopping to see if our room was ready, which it was not we set out for Epcot. Most of the group took the Friendship boat. I opted to walk.
The windows of ESPN Club are completely covered in ads/signs now so from the outside you cannot see in anymore.
Looking across the lake at Disney's Yacht Club
Toward the International Gateway you can see construction walls as you approach.
Across the water way they have cleared the land between France and the water and are rebuilding it. This will be the entry way for the Ratatouille attraction.
Overhead the Disney Skyliner towers dominate the area.
They have several cables run here, but not the thick load bearing ones for the gondolas yet.
Continuing down the path you can get a glimpse of the Ratatouille show building taking shape.
A closer look at the new walls going up along the walkway for the attraction.
A closer look. They have started to build the facade for the show building with steel rising in front of the main building.
The construction walls are for the Disney Skyliner project. As I reached this point I received a text that my room was ready.. the others were still on the boat so I continued on taking pictures.
This tower is right next to the Friendship dock queue cover.
Across the walkway the station is taking shape.
A closer look at the tower right before the station.
Artwork is on the station.
Some vents open on the roof.
Framing up for the main building roof.
Towers and cables going off toward the turn station.
Concept art of what the finished area will look like.
For now a narrow corridor between the walls.
Another view of the final tower and mural.
Looking across the channel at the path for the Skyliner.
One final look at the mural before boarding the Friendship Boat back to the Boardwalk to check out our room.
In the lobby of the Boardwalk a Hanukkah menorah
We had a 1 bedroom villa at Disney's Boardwalk Resort this visit. Here are a couple quick pictures of the room. No major changes since last time we stayed there. This is the bedroom.
Each side of the bed had two USB plugs and two electrical outlets on the night stand.
Our view this trip looked toward Disney's Hollywood Studios.
A look around the bathroom.
The closet.
The kitchen area.
Unpacked a bit then set out again for Epcot.. on the lawn there was a Design Your Own Wire Mickey Ears activity going on.
Finally made it to Epcot, 5:20pm.
For a Tuesday World Showcase felt crowded.
But if you timed it right you could still get a picture that told a different story.
Preparations for Illuminations Reflections of Earth were underway.
The Epcot Christmas Tree
A snowman greets you as you enter Future World.
A photo op with character topiaries.
The snow man after sunset.
Walked by the former Universe of Energy. It was sad to see the building gutted and empty.
A closer look across the front, a little hard to tell with the scrim up.. but you can see through the building all the way.
Off to the side you can see the new show building rising up. hard to tell scale or anything with this picture but just notice the number of switchbacks on the staircase.
Next door Mission Space.
A couple classic Spaceship Earth pictures as I walked by.
There is a Chip & Dale Christmas Tree Spree map challenge for World Showcase available.
Chip & Dale topiaries near the park entrance/exit.
The entrance topiaries with Spaceship Earth in the background.
A slightly different framing of Spaceship Earth.
Floral Mickey at night.
Jeweled Dragon Acrobats performing in China
Durch & Durch performing in Germany.
The standby queue for the final Candlelight of the evening. This was about 7 minutes before show time. I do not think most of these guests made it in.
Tonight the Disney Parks Blog was webcasting the Candlelight. Here they are preparing to go live.
Nearby equipment and the crew for the webcast. It was a big production. The replay is available until the end of the year.
Here is the replay of the webcast from the Disney Parks Blog
The tree near the American Adventure was having some light issues.
Time for the procession. The choir is staged and ready to enter the area.
I opted to stand in the back, so this was my view of the show.
Neil Patrick Harris was the guest narrator this evening.
Some character water art near Morocco as I walked around World Showcase.
Some pictures from Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. The show is scheduled to run through summer 2019 and then be retired.
The Holiday Tag had been altered this year. There was noticeably less to it.
The finale was still strong, but no where near as earth shaking as year's past.
The Ratatouille work as I walked back to the Boardwalk.
International Gateway is a little dark with the construction. I was expecting to see crews preparing to work. Friendship boats were closed at 9:30pm so they could work. No signs of any work tonight.
Walking along the Boardwalk back to my room to end a very long first day.
