The text list below contains the captions of all images in the set.
Woke up and opened the blinds to a cloudy Bay Lake this morning.
While waiting for others to get ready a look around from my 7th floor balcony.
On our way to the park. A not so hidden Mickey on the sidewalk. It was just before 9am.
Arrived on Main Street USA at 9:05am.
The Omnibus was making the rounds this morning.
As was the fire truck.
PhotoPass set up in an awkward spot.. the Adventureland entrance which is narrow due to construction.
First stop the Jungle Cruise to use a FastPass
Next made way further into Adventureland and used another FastPass+ for Pirates of the Caribbean.
Some cast members near the small stage across from the attraction.
A couple pictures of the recently updated auction scene.
Walking through Frontierland as I tried to book our next FastPass.
Thought about seeing the Country Bears but they do not open for another 15 minutes.
Paid a visit to the Hall of Presidents. It was still closed in December so this was my first time seeing the new show.
The lobby appeared the same with no changes jumping out to me.
A couple dozen guests.. I thought it was a healthy crowd for 9:50am on a pleasant morning.
President Lincoln delivering the Gettysburg Address
The presidents of the United States
President Washington delivering his remarks.
President Trump reciting the oath of office then delivering some remarks.
Used a FastPass+ for the Haunted Mansion next.
Some pavement renovation work near the Tangled Restrooms
Next up FastPass+ for it's a small world.
Some random pictures from it's a small world.
The signs at the end had good bye messages and not names today.
Peter Pan already had a 70 min standby time this morning, it was just before 11am.
Sword in the Stone show going on as I walked by.
Mary Poppins greeting guests near Liberty Square.
Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It! Street Party rolling by as I walked toward the park exit.
11:11am and I was exiting the park. So in about 2 hours I rolled through 5 attractions with one being a 20 minutes show and saw parts of a couple performances.
Time to catch a launch to Fort Wildereness
Interesting they have done away with the colored flags on the signage.. the boats still use them to identify the routes.
Of course the one I wanted was just pulling away as we arrived at the dock.
About 12 minutes later onboard the next one that arrived.
The Grand Floridian as we set off for Bay Lake.
Some renovation going on the tallest part of the building.
Cruising across the Seven Seas Lagoon.
The channel to Bay Lake over the bridge.
Boats on the move in Bay Lake.
The Contemporary and Bay Lake Tower from Bay Lake.
Arriving at Fort Wilderness, if you are curious it is about a 10 minute boat ride.
I always enjoy the relaxed feel of the campground. It is such a contrast to the Magic Kingdom only a short boat ride away.
The objective today was brunch at Trails End.
You can sort of make out the menu. The glare was bad as we entered.
Now a series of pictures looking at most of the offerings - Croissants
Apple Lattice Danish
Corn Muffins - This was a disappointment.. no fresh corn bread at brunch just these muffins.
The Donut Holes were popular.. fresh ones came out soon after this pic and I forgot to go back and get a picture.
Mini-Mickey Waffles
An assortment of fresh fruit
Next up the salad choices
The next area had yogurt
Shrimp
Cold cuts
Country Benedict, Scrambled Eggs with vegetables and cheese and plain scrambled eggs.
Pizza, Breakfast Potatoes and Bacon Gouda Frittata
Biscuits, gravy and sausage and bacon
Circling back to the cold cuts for a better picture
Bacon and sausage (if you dug or asked they had more crispy bacon too)
Pastas, fried chicken and mashed potatoes
Apple Wood Smoked Bacon
Smoked Turkey
In addition to this you could order a customized omelet.
A quick look at the buffet area with no one around.
A look down at the bar area as we were leaving.
Making our way back to the boat dock.
A thunderstorm was rolling in as we waited.
We opted to take the first boat that arrived which was the enclosed launch to the Magic Kingdom. As we arrived at the Magic Kingdom the wind really kicked up and it started to rain.
Hard to tell except for the water spots on the ground but it was raining and lightning struck near by.
The rain really started to come down as we walked up the Resort Monorail ramp.
Passing by the Magic Kingdom entrance as the rain was really coming down.
Arrived back at the Contemporary finally. It took 40 minutes from the picture of the bar area until this one at the gift shop.
The view over Bay Lake was really dark.
Looking toward the Magic Kingdom you could just barely see Tomorrowland, no sign of the Castle.
Once back in the room spent some time on the balcony watching the storm blow through.
Here you can see the angle of the rain.
A video clip of the storm from our balcony in Bay Lake Tower.
Wrapping up part 1 with a look at the Contemporary just before 2pm.
