Bay Lake from my room on the 7th Floor of Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort.
I had some time this morning before a friend was coming to visit so I went for a walk around the grounds of the resort.

On the ground floor I walked out the back of the tower. There is a recreation area between the tower and pool.

Complimentary putters and golf balls were available during business hours in the community hall.
There were a couple Table Tennis tables.. equipment was available inside too.

I was walking around before the pool opened for the morning.

You swing around the tower and out by the Tennis and Basketball court.
The courts have a great view of Bay Lake.

If you walk straight in you reach the concierge desk. Notice the bridge overhead on the 2nd floor. I kept saying I was going to go up there and in 8 days never did...

I went up to the 15th floor, the highest regular guest floor and took a look out the window. This is looking toward the Tron construction site and beyond it backstage at the Magic Kingdom.
To the left you can see the tents for the Storybook Circus area beyond Space Mountain.

Today was towel and trash service in the room. Housekeeping left some items for us..

We just missed the boat, arrived at the start of the pier as it pulled away so had over 20 minutes to wait.

If you were curious what the chicken looked like a closer picture.
As we ate a storm rolled in and we were very pleased we opted not to do the counter service and eat at those tables outside.

The rain let up so took a quick look around before running to catch up with my group at the boat dock.

The pool is still cleared from the storm.
Out at the dock waiting for the boat. Only one was running. Due to the storm the smaller launches were shut down for the time being.

Contemporary Marina Pricing -- Note it took almost 20 minutes once the boat docked until we were back at the Contemporary as we had to stop at Fort Wilderness first.
