Started our day at the Animal Kingdom today. New parking lot tractors are being phased in. Here is the Green one in action. The flag is at half staff for Pearl Harbor Day I think.
DeVine in the Oasis.
Walking through the Oasis
Everest in the hazy distance.
Mickey through the trees..
Went for a safari trip. Kudos and Bongos in the forest area.
A black rhino on the move.
Hippos hanging out like always.
A native critter..
The wild dogs were not active this morning.
Sable Antelope on the move.
Quite a few giraffe out on the savanna this morning.
Stella and her mother.
More elephants.
One cheetah was moving around.
A very rare sight.. the male lion was on the move. He walked back to the rocks then we were able to see him jump up to the top.
Video of the Male Lion moving around on Kilimanjaro Safari.
Almost to the top.
The white rhinos were lounging this morning.
Next stop Pandora for a closer look around. Everyone remember this stream from Camp Minnie Mickey?
A closer look at some of the plants.
There were several walkways closed off due to the way they routed the extended queue for Flight of Passage. It took over a portion of the land so you could not just freely roam around. I kept running into chains or mobs of guests.
Stroller parking was pretty empty this morning.
A quick look around Windtraders (the gift shop at the exit of Flight of Passage).
The most popular area seemed to be where you could buy a banshee.
Back outside a photo op.
Pongu Pongu is the outdoor drink/snack stand.
Anyone look familiar? Joe Rohde is in there...
Next stop Satu'li Canteen which was just opening for the day.
Plenty of queue space.. I can only image this in a couple hours.
Right now you could just walk right up.
Then out to the dining room of which most was blocked off still.
Our next stop was a final showing of Flights of Wonder. It closes the end of the year so this would be our last time viewing the show.
Never know who you may cross paths with in a Disney park. Baloo heading toward his meet and greet location.
The gibbons were moving around this morning.
Back to Pandora for my first Flight of Passage experience. Standby was over two hours as we entered the FastPass+ queue at 1:36pm
Some of the rails already showing signs of guest wear.
The stand by line appeared fairly stationary as we continued our hike.
A view of the valley before entering the building.
Inside the look and feel change.
After riding we made our way to the front of the park. Most pay phones are gone now. Some have been replaced with courtesy phones.
Time to leave the Animal Kingdom for the day.
A glimpse of the new Coronado Springs Tower rising up.
At the Boardwalk they were setting up for movie night on the Village Green.
The weather had turned cooler and sweatshirts were in order for the evening.
A group selling shirts.
Looks like a festive place to watch a movie.
We started the walk to Epcot.
Decided to grab a bite to eat in France (while others headed toward the American Adventure to eat).
Mostly Kosher performs here throughout the evening.
Musique Aramenco performs on the other side of Morocco.
This evening Jodi Benson was the guest narrator for the Candlelight Ceremony.
A brief video clip from the Candlelight Ceremony. There were too many crying kids and loud adults near me (as you will hear) so I did not take a lot of video).
Spaceship Earth and the Epcot Christmas Tree
Passing by Japan
Mostly Kosher performing.
A couple Epcot 35 items were available.
The short walk from Epcot back to the Boardwalk really spoils you. Took a quick walk back to meet some more of our group and take a break before returning for Illuminations.
Found this interesting.. the movie tonight was Star Wars: The Force Awakens
We could see Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam from our balcony.
Back to Epcot for Illuminations: Reflections of Earth.
