Spotted a Minnie Van pulling into the Boardwalk as we left this morning.
Arrived at the Animal Kingdom just before 9am. Several signs warning of an early Pandora closing today.
The Tree of Life
Made my way to Pandora because we had a FastPass+ there to start the day. This was my first visit, it opened a few weeks after my last WDW trip.
A map of the valley.
This being my first trip I spent a few minutes walking around aimlessly taking pictures and taking in the sights.
I had a Na'vi River Journey FastPass+, standby was 60 minutes this morning.
The stand by queue looked to be moving really slowly as we strolled by.
A couple random pictures from the ride.. I was not focused on pictures since it was my first experience.
Swotu Waya Na'vi Drum Ceremony occurs several times a day.
A video clip from the Drum Ceremony
The Flight of Passage standby was over 2 hours. I could not get a FastPass+ until tomorrow, day 4 of our trip so my first ride will have to wait.
If you were worried about not fitting on the seat properly, there was a test one out front.
Satu'li Canteen was not open yet.
But Pongu Pongu was so you could get a frozen or alcoholic beverage before 10am.
Some of our group gave it a try. I think this was the Mo'ara Margarita

An extra sign to guide guests there.
Nearly 40 minutes since the last picture to reach Disney's Hollywood Studios. The park to park buses were extremely inefficient (others in my group went to Epcot and there was was even a longer wait). I really miss the Express Transportation option, that spoiled me last trip.
The future site of the Disney Skyliner station for the Studios.
In the distance you can see more work, this is for the Skyliner turn near the Boardwalk.
Anothr look at the station work.
The Christmas tree this year is in Echo Lake. So out front is Mickey.

Decided to grab lunch at PizzeRizzo
The current menu.

Lunch..
It was busy downstairs, but upstairs plenty of tables.
The Muppet fountain is returning. It was a planter in the spring.
A better view of the Galaxy's Edge Entrance from Grand Ave.
Walking back through the Echo Lake area.
As you walk out of the park there were a lot of construction fences.
This appears to be a re-alignment of the entrance road from Buena Vista Drive.
Bad lighting, but this is walking by the Skyliner turn near the Boardwalk.
Almost back to the room. Only 15 minutes from the Echo Lake picture to this one.
After a couple hour rest/re-group it was back to the Studios. Opted to walk vs taking the slow moving Friendship Launch.
The sun was setting as I walked.

The Great Movie Ride closed earlier this year and a new Mickey Mouse attraction is taking its place.

It is interesting the Paradise Pier model is still on display. The model may outlive the Pier as it is slated to be transformed to Pixar Pier in 2018.
Toy Story Land has a large display with a model.
Descriptions of the two new attractions.
Time to check out the model.
Another display case features a very small portion of the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Model.
