- The weather forecast for this morning called for some decent size rain cells to blow through. So we decided to spend the morning of our last full day packing and waiting out the storm. Looking outside at 9am it was cloudy but not bad. A long line at the bus stop this morning.
- By 10am though the skies had started to open.
- Looking toward Epcot from our balcony.
- It rained pretty hard for a good half hour then cleared a bit.
- By 11am we were packed up and the last cells were coming through so we hopped on a bus to Disney Springs during a lull and as we drove the skies opened again.
- It was pouring as we arrived at Disney Springs and realized there is no rain cover near the drop off area.. you have to go a decent distance in the rain.
- This walkway was the closest area of cover and a fair number of guests were hanging out there trying not to get soaked.
- Looking out into the Town Center I realized there is no real cover between stores either.
- So as the rain came down we stayed there and watched a couple groups run in the rain.
- Many put on their ponchos and made the best of it.
- By 11:30 it had let up so we ventured out.
- By 11:40 you could see some blue sky.
- Stopped by World of Disney. This large screen was barely visible.
- Decided to eat lunch at the Rain Forest Cafe since we had a gift card.
- Today was the first day of a new menu. Here is a quick look.
- After lunch walked around the Marketplace.
- The ground had dried already.
- Stopped by the Co Op.
- Stopped by Ghirardelli for dessert.
- The Boutique has moved, a sign in the World of Disney window.
- Inside Uniqlo a couple international Disney shirts.
- Reflective shirts.. under $15.
- Theses shirts came in a box that looked like a book.
- Minnie area.
- Looking out the second story window.
- The bus drop off area has this one shade structure but it does nothing for rain.
- The pick up area has a roof at least.
- Planet Hollywood
- All quiet toward the Orange Garage
- Not a lot of guests at the bus stops this afternoon, it was 2pm.
- Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2 bus.
- Finally on a bus and leaving.. 2:20pm so a full 20 minutes from when we walked up.
- The buses us a bus lane on Buena Vista Drive.
- Back at the Boardwalk at 2:30pm..
- Dropped some items off in the room and figured out where we we wanted to head next.. back to the bus stops at 2:45pm to catch a bus to the Animal Kingdom.
