After an early dinner walked out and caught a bus to the Animal Kingdom at the Dolphin Resort (6:17pm)
We had our own bus.
Pandora opens in a month. Here it is from the bus.

All four parks have dedicated lines for Annual Passholders. Sometimes it saved time sometimes it did not.
The Tree of Life
Tape to try and help crowd flow later in the evening when the Tree of Life Awakenings is being presented.
No activity at the Pandora gate this evening.

The stand closest to the safari entrance is now used for tours. The Express Transportation check in has moved to the other side of Tusker House.
Renovation work underway at the old FastPass distribution area. Guessing tours will eventually move in here.
Time for Kilimanjaro Safari. A female greater kudu.

A new viewing area has been added to the elephant area to support the new Caring For Giants Tour (I am going on it Friday).
A closer look.
Burlap fences were up along much of the white rhino, cheetah and lion areas. The driver said they were introducing a new animal. They would not say what the animal was.
It made viewing the animals a real challenge.
Of course cheetah are up and moving around and we have an obstructed view.

The Tree of Life as the sun was setting.
New projectors are visible along the walkway on the back side of the tree. I read that they will be used for the Awakenings show starting in late May so it will be visible on both sides of the tree.
The projector was on, air was blowing out.
I am assuming at some point something will be added to hide these? Seems odd that is not in place yet.
There were four along the walk way that I spotted.

The Tree of Life Garden Trails have reopened. The overhead nets have been removed so you have clear views of the tree again.

The theater is starting to fill. It was just before 8pm and the show was 8:45 this evening.
Found my seat around 8:13pm.
Across the way the Stand by viewing and dining packages areas were full.
As it became darker the surrounding area came alive with lights and shadows.
About 10 minutes before the show the lotus blossoms came to life.
A little hard to tell but shadows were on the trees.. here you can sort of see an elephant.
Showtime. two boats came out with storytellers on board.
Large water screens are used for projections.
Animal barges come out representing various aspects of nature.
There were smaller projection screens on the lotus blossoms plus the large one in the background.
