  • Arriving at the Animal Kingdom, one crane left in Pandora (it came down a week or so after my trip)
  • To give a sense o size, the small show building has stairs that go 4 stories.

  • Found this interesting they are selling Parade Cushions event though there is not a parade here anymore. Why not call them seat cushions?
  • Walking toward the Pandora entrance.
  • Through the trees you can just barely make out the mountains.
  • Tiffins opened since my spring visit.
  • The Nomad Lounge has opened too, but it is not open yet for the day.

  • Today I was visiting with a couple of young children in the group (almost 3 and 5). They really enjoyed the Wilderness Explorers activities. Here are some flags in Dinoland.
  • We stopped by the Boneyard.

  • That sign lied a bit.. it was about 3 cycles or 10 minutes.. not 0.

  • Back on the ground and headed for an early lunch.
  • Wilderness Explorer markers near the Tree of Life.
  • Used a FastPass+ for the Kilimanjaro Safari. A black rhino.

  • African dogs laying around. The couple safaris I went on this trip they were like this.. no where near as active as in the spring.

  • They were all sleeping in one area.

  • Thought this was a fun picture with a bird near one of the bachelors, neither seemed to care.

  • Walking along the trail behind the Tree of Life (this connects to the bugs exit area and was closed on my previous trip.

  • Some in the group had a FastPass+ for Minnie and Mickey.. we could not get one for everyone. Stand by was not too long and with their FastPass+ it still took 15 minutes.
  • Heading into Asia.
  • The gibbons were moving around as usual.
  • Lion-Tailed Macaques are now on the Jungle Trek in Asia, in a new enclosure right before the bats.
  • Lion-Tailed Macaques, there are 3 females and 1 male in the troop.
  • Spotted a tiger in the distance.
  • The herd all sitting around...
  • A tiger getting some snacks.. cast members were up above and were throwing some treats down.

  • Festival of the Lion King was next on our agenda. They directed us into a seat on ground level.

  • Waiting for the Tree of Life Awakenings. As it grew dark the projections started to become visible.

  • I left the Animal Kingdom around 6:15pm and headed for Epcot (the original plan was Disney Springs but the 7:00pm drone show was cancelled). So I went to the Beach Club then walked to Epcot.

  • The finale wraps up my day, after this is was back to the bus then Pop Century.
