The text list below contains the captions of all images in the set.
Arrived at Disneys Hollywood Studios just before 4pm. The Christmas tree is out front as has become the norm.
To the right before you enter the park there were several characters out. This was after security but before the park entrance.
A cast member showing off her lightsaber tossing skills.
Hollywood Blvd is decked out for the season with plenty of garland and decorations.
Not sure what to call these boxes, they are basically speaker/equipment housings that are oversized and used as projection surfaces for the night time shows.
The Chinese Theater.. the hat is long gone but there always seems to be a stage or something set up in front.
Looking back down Hollywood Blvd.
March of the First Order making its way up Hollywood Blvd.
Here is a video clip of the march.
A camera man is on the street and follows the march. It is broadcast to the large screens (thought this was a good way to ensure people can see).
Here you can see the march and it on the screen too.
They had an overhead camera too.
After a brief show they march back.
Projectors in one of the towers for the evening shows.
The control booth in the bottom of the tower.
Cast Members indicating where the line for the Great Movie Ride starts.
Moana has moved into One Mans Dream.
Pixar Place is alive with activity as always.
Very little of the new construction is visible from in the park. Here you can see the building for the coaster in the background.
A closer look at the concrete building. Believe it is equipment and support facility for the attraction.
Now with a third track the Toy Story line is under an hour. Wonder what it would be if FastPass was removed. If it would be like the DCA waits.
Making my way down to the end of the street. You can not really see much.
The Backlot is leveled so now you get a clear view of the Muppets. You cannot get to there from here without going through the entire park though, so both sides are dead ends. Seems there should be a path put in to ease crowd flow.
Some trees stored near the wall.
No changes to the concept art. In the top right you can see the building that is taking shape now.
One block of New York Street Facades is still visible.
Some food options in Pixar Place now.
There is also a bar.
Current movie billboards on the Great Movie building.
The Moana Meet and Greet has taken over the back portion, where the Fantasyland model was years ago and the D23 exhibit.
The International parks are still represented in the final waiting area.
Bug the Tokyo DisneySea Fortress Explorations Model is gone.
A better picture showing where the entrance to Moana is.
If you visit Moana you can get an activity book.
The courtyard for the Great Movie Ride is being set up for the dessert party.
Took a quick look into the ABC Commissary. It was nearly empty at 4:30pm
The restrooms near the Muppets have new signage.
Rizzo has taken over Pizza Planet. This works much better thematically in the area.
The Miss Piggy fountain is now a planter.
The patio/balcony seating at Rizzos.
You can see over the wall into the former Streets of America but really cannot tell anything from this angle.
The Muppet Courtyard.
A bar to sit at and eat your pizza with a view.
The view from the bar.
Inside the seating areas are all redone, the arcade is gone and more seating added. It was not very busy when we visited.
The Banquet hall is over the ordering area and is a great addition!
Inside the hall there is a never ending reception going on with 80s music, disco ball and lighting.
Here is a brief video clip of the room.
The trash cans also have different sayings on them.
Silverware and condiments.
The walls upstairs have pictures from New York on them.
Some of the signs were re-used from the Streets of America.
More trashcan sayings.
Framed records.
Does this sign look familiar?
The dining area has booths as well as regular chairs/tables.
Caricatures on the wall by the restrooms.
Looking back across the upstairs area.
Moving downstairs. There were people dining down here, seems they did not want to walk up the stairs.
The ordering area has been expanded since the Pizza Planet days.
Papa Rizzos Original Apron from 1916
Pepe borrowed his first dollar.
Employee of the month plaque
Some of Rizzos merchandise
The other half of the ordering area was open and had guests.
Back upstairs to eat since it was empty.
On the way out it was still empty.
A view of the courtyard at night from the balcony/patio seating.
A video clip from the balcony area.
Heaters around the outdoor dining area.
Walked by Star Tours and only a 10 min standby posted at 5:49pm
Made my way back to Hollywood Blvd to find a spot for Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam!
15 minutes till show time.
Snow started to fall at the 15 minute mark.
And logos on the projection surfaces.
The crowd filling in behind us, 10 minutes till showtime.
Snow accumulating.
Lights in the trees
Giant snowflakes
Show time.
Images are projected onto the Chinese Theater and the two surfaces on either side throughout the show.
Lasers come from the theater, the side as well as projection towers.
Here is a wide view showing the two side projection surfaces.
Snowfall during the show too.. which makes for some great effects with the lasers.
Some fireworks come from the surrounding buildings but most are off in the distance to the right of show center.
This shows how off center the main shells are. From here not bad but if you are back on Hollywood Blvd you will have a hard time seeing them.
Here are some video clips from Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam!
After the show a Christmas tree is projected as snow falls.
Snow fall on Hollywood Blvd.
Oops I should have stopped to focus..
A final look up Hollywood Blvd before exiting.
