Started my morning off with a round of golf at Oak Trail. The Mickey golf cart was in front of the club house.
Approaching the Oak Trail Course.
Started our round as soon as it was bright enough. This was about 10 to 7.
Approaching the first green.
Looking around the course as we walked.
The sun just coming over the horizon around 7am.
Some of the greens were in need of some help.
Approaching the green on number 4 I believe.
Looking back up the fairway.
Making my way out to #5. #5,6 and 7 are the three nicest holes on the course in my opinion.
The tee box for #5 and beyond you can see #7 coming back.
A deer was on #7. No golfers had reached it yet this morning. We were the second or third group off today.
The fairway of #7.
Looking out at the long #5.
Slowly making my way toward the green on #5. It is way out there to the right.
Bet there are a lot of golf balls out there in the swamp.
Eventually made it to #6.
Approaching the green on #6, a small stream is between me and it.
Looking toward #7 from the green of 6.
Looking back up the fairway on #6 since I had a minute.
The deer were still around #7 as we attempted to keep the ball in the fairway and away from them.
They watched us play.
Looking back at #5 from the fairway of #7.
Ready to tee off on #8.
Final hole, #9 a short par three to wrap up the round. It was around 8:30.
After a long wait for the cab we were on our. Next week the Invictus games will be here. The Shades of Green is preparing with signage and logos.
Traffic backed up to enter the Magic Kingdom, this was just before 9am.
Back to Pop Century, showered, changed, ate, then out for the bus around 10am.
Passing the Epcot solar farm on World Drive
Cabins from Fort Wilderness parked in the old airfield area.
I think it is rather disappointing that you can now see clear through to the Wilderness Lodge from the roadway. They cleared all the trees from this side for the DVC expansion.
Not too bad at the bus stops this morning.
Approaching the park was another story.
They were requiring everyone to go through the metal detectors and it was a bit crazy with no formal queues marked off and a break from the regular entrance routine so guests were confused.
I was directed into this line..
Eventually made it through the line and heading toward the park. It was approaching 10:45. 45 minutes since I left the hotel, about 15 minutes to get from the bus to here.
Main Street USA
The Main Street Philharmonic was out in the hub performing so we stopped to listen to a few songs.
A video clip of the band performing Be Our Guest.
Cinderella Castle
The walkways are now done (they were still being worked on in December) but the stage is now closed as it prepares for the new show premiering in June.
Looking out toward Main Street.
A closer view shows all the guests streaming into the park.
First stop today, Fantasyland to use a FastPass+ I reserved.
The FastPass+ return line for Peter Pan was rather long.
Shorter than the posted Standby wait though.
Numbers in the queue to help group guests before they board.
It ended up taking us 7 minutes from when we entered the ride till I was off to Neverland.
Back in Fantasyland with a half hour or so until my next FastPass+
The walkway to Liberty Square is blocked off. A lift is parked there that is being used to work on the Castle.
The Street Party had rolled into the hub as we approached.
Nick Wilde from Zootopia is part of the party now.
He stays on the float and dances.
On the same float is Judy Hopps from Zootopia.
She stays on the float too.
Other characters, like Baloo, were out dancing with guests.
Minnie Mouse on top of one of the floats.
Making my way to Tomorrowland.
I still had a few minutes until my return time so went for a ride on the Peoplemover.
No one riding in train 13 this trip.
Renovation work on the Carousel of Progress. It was open still.
From the inside you can see the scaffolding that is used to reach the overhang.
Time for Buzz at 11:30am
My score this morning.
On the way out of Tomorrowland noticed a lot of guests at the FP+ kiosks. The app now allows for you to do just about everything so no need for the kiosks if you use it.
Cinderella Castle this morning.
Passing through the hub on my way to Liberty Square.
Some renovation work in Liberty Square.
Next up the Haunted Mansion.
It had a posted 40 min wait. I booked my FastPass+ while in line at Buzz about 20 minutes ago.
Continuing the trend while walking into the Mansion booked my next FastPass+ for Small World.
Small World had a posted 45 minute wait. I booked my FastPass+ while at the Haunted Mansion 20 minutes ago and walked right on.
The screens at the end are now active. They feature names of guests with Magic Bands.
My name. The ordering is off as I was sitting on the end but close enough.
The Liberty Belle making the turn on the Rivers of America as I walked through Frontierland.
Next up for me Pirates.
A posted 25 minute wait. I booked a FastPass+ about 20 minutes ago while on Small World and walked right on.
Took this write before I got hit with a lot of water from a canon ball blast.
Passed by the Skipper Canteen. No wait at 1pm for lunch.
Crystal Palace and a couple other locations now go from breakfast to dinner. They cut out lunch pricing. So dinner starts at 11:30am.
Time to leave the Magic Kingdom and go seek lunch. It was just after 1:00pm as we exited.
Security had returned to the normal process and the extra tables were not in use as we left.
Walking to the Contemporary to catch a bus to Disney Springs.
The only resort line monorail to pass us. I think it would have taken about the same time to take the monorail as the walk.
Took about 10 minutes to walk there, but thanks to the heat felt longer. Of course our bus is last to arrive. At least there is a time. I appreciate the new signs.
Passing Fort Wilderness on the bus.
Arrived at Disney Springs about 50 minutes after leaving the Magic Kingdom.
Passing AristoCrepes
Spotted a turtle in the water.
The dismantling of Fultons continues.
Our destination.. the Boathouse.
The other side of Fultons as it slowly becomes Paddlefish.
Looking toward the Town Center, which opens on the 15th.
Finally made it to a table and ready to figure out lunch. Enjoying the A/C and something to drink. It took about 65 minutes from the Magic Kingdom train station to here.
Our view. We opted for an inside table.
As we ate the dining room cleared out since the lunch groups have finished.
A couple of random pictures as I left.
A steady stream of cars coming and going this afternoon.
Stopped by the springs area to show it to some others who were not with me yesterday and to see if more walls were down. It was the same as yesterday.
The remaining walls.
The Fultons sign is being removed.
I decided to walk over to Saratoga Springs to catch a bus to Animal Kingdom vs taking a bus and transferring elsewhere.
The Characters in Flight Balloon was up this morning.
Looking back toward the Boathouse
Taking the path less traveled.
My destination awaits.. if you were curious it was about a 4 minute walk from the Marketplace to the bus stop.
Screens are installed but not active yet.
Passing by the Studios.
Arriving at the Animal Kingdom. It took about 25 minutes from when I left the Market Place until I was exiting the bus at AK. Note on the far side those are pieces for the rock work of Pandora.
