After breakfast time to head to the Magical Express. Always nice to see a line like this.

The new ramp/direct route to 417 from the airport was open this trip. That saved a few minutes.

The Pop Century lobby at 6:10am. Some guests checking out. We were the only ones checking in.
As luck would have it our room was ready. Well this is our second room of the morning after the first was not ready yet. This was taken at 7am. So it took a while to check in, go to the first room, go back and get re-assigned then find my way here.
A look around a Pop Century room. This is in the 60s and a preferred room since it was close to the pool and main building.

Stepping outside to roam around the resort while I waited for a friend. The rest of my group decided to catch a nap.

I said I was going to walk over to Art of Animation and in 8 days this is the closest I got.

Since my last visit to Pop Century the airline check in has moved to the back side of the building. This is a much larger space and easier to access. A win on multiple fronts.

The Earful Tower is gone but still selling pins.
They have some snacks for sale in the gift shop area too.

So gave Space Invaders a try.. it has been decades since I last played.

My first stop today, Disney Springs. Arrived at 8:51am. Noticed the Marketplace entrance sign replacement is still not in place.
New kiosks coming soon to Disney Springs.
I like the logo on the construction wall more than the actual sign.
Fultons is closed and will reopen as Paddlefish later this year. Renovation work is underway.
Another new food location opening soon.
BB Wolfs Sausage Co.
Finishing touches are being applied to the Town Center. The first phase opens on May 15, so two weeks.

The Characters in Flight Balloon was up this morning. Before 10am they offer reduced price flights.

It is really nice to walk around a quiet Disney Springs. It is now 9am.
The walls have been removed around a portion of the springs. Talked to some of the workers and they removed them last night. So first morning look at the new area.

The new bus lane down Buena Vista Drive looks to be nearing completion. Our driver said the target date was in June to open it. They were training already.
