The text list below contains the captions of all images in the set.

  • We start off today at the Animal Kingdom
  • The park was not too crowded, Baloo was out looking for guests to interact wiht..
  • A couple shots of the walls in Asia where the new restaurant is going in
  • No one was riding the rapids this cool December morning
  • So they shut down the Fastpass system, actually it just never was turned on for the day
  • Not much activity along the Jungle Trek
  • A group performing out in Camp Minnie Mickey
  • Now some Festival of the Lion King Shots
  • On the safari we spotted a hippo out of the water.
  • The baby giraffe was out again too
  • The Cheetahs were quite active.
  • Some construction along World Drive
  • A GM flex fuel SUV in Innoventions
  • Noticed this new transportation display in Innoventions, it is basically a wall covered in photos and captions..
  • Not much activity toward Universe of Energy
  • Wonders of Life was open for the holidays.
  • The place was dead.. it was nice to see it open, but there was very little life.
  • Some of the posters in the queue for Cranium Command
  • We next walked by Mission Space (there was no line)
  • This is the warning message and description of the two versions..
  • Over at Test Track the virtual reality thing is gone (thing it was called Dream Chasers if I remember right), in its place is this display
  • This car is still on the other side
  • The new on ride photo area that now uses Photopass
  • A Hummer..
  • This is where the butterfly exhibit usually is during the flower and garden festival, looks like they put in concrete to put the cage structure on
  • The placement of these Year of a Million Dream banners in the various parks is kind of odd to me..
  • A look across the lagoon
  • Work continues in Japan (in May the left tower was under wraps)
  • A good view of the China tarps
  • I think its interesting how the food and wine festival booths have been recyled to be holiday cheer
  • Here is the price board
  • The Three Kings were out by Mexico
  • The crowd gathered around the three kings
  • Some shots in China
  • The new museum exhibit in China, the Hong Kong Disneyland display is long gone
  • The German storyteller out
  • We spotted this boat on the lake, its the one that is usually over at the Swan/Dolphin Dock
  • The boat was heading backstage to the marina area
  • I found it very odd that the Friendship boat doing the World Showcase cycle only had MGM guidemaps onboard, no EPCOT ones..
  • Another of the Year of a Million Dream signs
  • I thought there used to be a bench or something here.
  • Club Cool is decorated for the holidays
  • A couple random Spaceship Earth shots
  • They are still working on the post show area
  • Next stop the Magic Kingdom
  • The signs over the entrance/exit gates
  • Looking up Main Street
  • The tree has been moved to Town Square and the traditional garlands are now up.

  • The Roger E Broogie pulling out of the Toontown Station
  • As we entered Space Mountain on the People Mover (TTA) we noticed it was brighter than usual.
  • Then we pulled into the main building and the lights were all on.. so here are some pictures
  • My Buzz score (which I thought was really good)
  • Unfortunately the Geeks Brothers was better...
  • The Comedy Club sign at night
  • A couple Spectro Magic Shots
  • The Contemporarys tree at night
  • Captain Hook and Smee leading a group of kids (and their parents) out to the docks for a fireworks cruise
  • The boats they went out on appear to be the old Discovery Island boats from Animal Kingdom, or at least the same type of boat
  • Ducks took over the Contemporary pool
  • Now a series of shots of the space shuttle launch taken from the shore of Bay Lake.. we first saw an orange glow
  • Then a bright light over the tree tops
  • It really illuminated the sky, unfortunately these shots do not do it justice and they just look like a giant orange ball, but it was really impressive in person and you could see the 5 engines (3 main and 2 booster)
  • Here is a shot of the booster separation.. we were able to see the shuttle for a good 5 minutes or so
  • We end over at EPCOT with a shot of Mission Space (no interesting shots from Illuminations tonight).
