Tokyo Disneyland Resort Pictures
The text list below contains the captions of all images in the set.
Woke up to a rainy and dreary looking day. Weather.com claims it will be gone by lunch so we are going with that forecast...
So first stop this morning the ticket counter to buy passes for the day. The top three are the park tickets for today. The bottom three our Resort Line Passes purchased yesterday.
After buying our tickets it was time for breakfast at the Sheraton Club.
Nice and quiet this morning, it was 6:45am and they were just serving coffee and juice. Breakfast official begins at 7am.
A quick look around at the breakfast offerings.
Cereal choices
On the right was listed as bacon but was more of a ham.
Juice and Milk choices
Where I ended up eating from.. bakery and breads.
Looking out to Tokyo Bay it was rough conditions.
7:40am and the conditions were worse looking but weather.com still said it was going to clear so we put on rain gear and got ready to set off for the day.
It was really coming down as we looked at Bayside Station.
Arrived at a very windy, wet and nearly empty Bayside Station at 8am (which was park opening this morning).
The 35th Anniversary Resort Liner pulled in, how fitting today.
The windows were fogged up so not much of a view.
A mellow and small crowd for 8am.
Pulling into the Disneyland Station.
Looking out from the station no massive crowds in the rain. It was 8:15am.
Security was a little backed up..
No real lines to get through the gate.
Inside the park at 8:25am and waiting to walk out in the rain.
Cast Members Greeting everyone. There were a lot of Cast Members out with flags and they were all having a great time.
Found the crowd as I tried to enter World Bazaar.
Seems the street was packed with guests waiting for the 8:45am Grand Opening Ceremony for the 35th Anniversary. It was about 8:30am.
A video clip of what it was like to walk into World Bazaar this morning at Tokyo Disneyland.
World Bazaar has become Celebration Street for the 35th Anniversary. I reached this point after about 7 minutes and decided it was good enough and I stopped to watch from here.
The small logo appeared to be the stage for the event.
A panoramic view from my location of the sea of guests filling World Bazaar. (I know this is not really viewable right now...)
Noticed projectors in the windows of several buildings along World Bazaar.
The centerpiece of the street has statues from each of the park's anniversary/milestone years.
Looking back at the crowd behind me toward the entrance. They actually cut entry soon after because there was no room. So guests arriving were held out in the rain or at the entrance gate.
The flags indicated where cast members were.. there were a lot throughout the crowd but it was packed so tight no one was moving or moving anywhere quickly.
Unfortunately this was all I was able to see from the show. Some confetti. Also there was no audio in our area. So it was not a good experience.
Here is a video clip of what the ceremony was like for me.
Here is what the area looked like, this photo was supplied to me by Disney - Tokyo Disney Resort 35th Anniversary grand opening ceremony (Left to Right) Toshio Kagami, Representative Director, Chairman and CEO, Oriental Land Co., Ltd.

9:00am and the ceremony is over. Time to head into the park.
Inching my way through the crowd.
Even the side streets had a lot of guests on them right now.
9:04am made it to clear pavement, this is the Adventureland side of World Bazaar.
The rain let up so set off into the park.
Pirates of the Caribbean was an opening day attraction for Tokyo Disneyland. So stopped there first (plus it meant 15 minutes out of the rain/wind).
Here is a video clip from onboard Pirates of the Caribbean at Tokyo Disneyland.
35th Anniversary special offerings at most dining locations.
9:25am - A check on the waits
A line for 35th anniversary Churros
The theater where Minnie Oh Minnie used to play is under renovation with a new show opening later this year.
The rain let up but it was still windy and a little drizzly out.
A short video clip of the weather at Tokyo Disneyland this morning.
Walking further into Adventureland.
Plenty of Cast Members out throughout the park.
Cast Members were very excited today and a lot of waves, hi fives, and thank yous from them.
Next stop for us the Jungle Cruise.
In between trips cast members were drying off all the seats with towels.
Onboard and setting off.. 7 minutes from the picture of the entrance sign.
Many of the sights along the river are familiar
Returning to port.
A couple video clips from my Jungle Cruise experience at Tokyo Disneyland.
The skies were still really dark as we pondered our next attraction.
Decided to head upstairs to the Western River Railroad.
Plenty of room onboard as we steamed out of the station.
The Mark Twain is decked out for the 35th Anniversary.
Passing over Westernland.
A video clip of the Dinosaurs along the Western River Railroad.
Popcorn cart in Adventureland.
For the 35th Anniversary there are golden Mickeys around the parks. 10 in each park so far. Here is one in Adventureland.
Stopped by the restroom to remove my raingear.. and thought I would show a contrast to other Disney Parks.. in Tokyo the toilets have a lot of buttons and features.
