Tokyo Disneyland Resort Pictures
The text list below contains the captions of all images in the set.
This morning spotted a crane working near Cinderella Castle (probably with the trees/planters that were walled off).
Crews working on the driveway for the Sheraton too.
Backstage spotted a concrete pumper, it was hard to tell exactly where this was but it may be toward where Soarin is going in.
A stream of guests walking toward Disneyland. Some buses offload out near Bayside station then the kids walk across the parking lot to the park.
No one enjoying the nice morning view this morning as I headed down to the lobby to look around.
Here is the view from the seats.. DisneySea.
Walking through the lobby area of the Sheraton (since I was up early figured I would take some pictures).
A lounge area.
Croissants available for purchase.
A Christmas tree in the lobby.
Took a quick look in the gift shop at the hotel.
The merchandise mirrors what is in the parks.
There was a fair selection of CDs and blu-rays that all looked temping.
No one out playing golf this morning. It was cold out.
The garden area and beyond it a wedding pavilion.
It was just before 9am so we decided to head to the park. A cruiser pulled up as we were walking out.
Tokyo Bay from the Monorail as we made our way to the park.
Arriving at Disneyland. The lines were moving as it was just after 9 and the park was open now.
In line, not bad today, just about the Ticket booths.
So less than 5 minutes and we were in the park.
Entering World Bazaar at park opening is an experience as the large group of guests all move quickly toward their first destinations.
As I walked toward Tomorrowland encountered this line. Turned out to be for Buzz Lightyear.
Speaking of Buzz, here is what the CMs where.
Across the walkway Stitch Encounter had a 20 minute wait posted already too.
I made my way out to the Grand Circuit Raceway. Since it closes in January to make way for the expansion I wanted a last lap.
Looking into Tomorrowland as I got in line.
The queue features a garage with car models and equipment
As you can see there was no wait first thing in the morning.
TV monitors in the garage playing clips from Disneyland and the first Autopia.
Even with a short wait they had all four tracks open to be ready for the crowd.
Time to set off on my lap. It was about 8 minutes from when I first walked up until I was on my way.
The next several pages will feature a look at the lap as I made my way around the track.
Cinderella Castle in the distance.
Traffic ahead.
A friendly cast member waving to everyone as they raced by.
I got a salute for some reason.
Plenty of fall colors along the track, a big contrast to 2015 when I took a lap with the cherry blossoms in bloom.
The sign seemed a little dramatic.. especially considering the cars shut down if you get close, want to say with 5 feet of the car in front of you.
The garage area was almost empty with all cars in use.
Safety warning as I waited to unload.
My next destination the Star Jets which close in fall of 2017.
A little longer than I want to wait but I did not go last trip and they will be gone by the time I visit again.
You are handed a card with the rules and safety warnings. Interesting to note it says nothing about taking pictures (but they are not allowed once you board the craft).
Upstairs and waiting to board. Interesting to note there was a cast member up there waiting with kids too small to ride so their parent could ride with other kids. A different take on the child swap.
A Star Jet waiting to be boarded.
The Disneyland Hotel in the distance.
Almost my turn..
The view my ship as I waited to start my flight.
All strapped in and ready to go.
You can see DisneySea from here.
Toontown down below. At this point I was informed no pictures allowed while in the space craft... it turned out to be a 20 minute wait only.
Walking through Fantasyland I encountered a group of characters including Gideon
And Fairy Godmother.
As well as the Tweedles
The walls were all down in the courtyard behind the castle. Must have been what the crane was working on this morning.
Cinderella Castle
Some Christmas decorations outside the castle.
The view from the front of the Castle looking toward World Bazaar and beyond it the Disneyland Hotel.
Guests posing for pictures in front of the castle.
A quiet spot in the center of the central plaza.
Christmas displays/photo ops around the plaza.
Some of the colorful landscaping in the plaza
Making my way to World Bazaar
Looking toward Adventureland as I headed for the exit.
A resort liner pulling in as I headed toward the station.
At the station and on my way to Tokyo DisneySea.
