Tokyo Disneyland Resort Pictures
The text list below contains the captions of all images in the set.
My first glimpse of Tokyo. It was cloudy/overcast and with the wing I could not see much. Thought I may have seen Disney on approach but hard to tell and I could not get a picture.
Passed over this small runway near touchdown.
Walking through the Tokyo airport toward customs.. it was a long hike. We were at the second to last gate.
After customs and waiting an hour it was time to catch our bus to Disney.
A vending machine for bus tickets. We bought ours inside from a human to ensure we did it correctly.
We are the last stop.. Hilton Tokyo Bay.
The bus stopped at two other terminals so we drove in circles around the airport for a while before leaving.
This is where we started... the plane is on the other side of that building.
You can see an engine/wing barely.. but we kept circling..
Here is a short video clip driving around on the bus.
Some cherry blossoms are still visible along the road.
Heading toward downtown.
Some shots along the highway to pass the time.
Found this to be a confusing sign at freeway speed.
My first glimpse of something I knew... Space Mountain in the middle of this picture beyond the rail line.
To the left Disneyland.. in the middle DisneySea and on the right the hotels.
Cinderella Castle.. so odd to be driving along the freeway and see it.
The Tokyo Disneyland Hotel.
A parking booth.. looked like an overflow or cast member lot.
The Disney exit.
The Bon Voyage Store at the Resort Gateway.
My first monorail sighting..
A resort cruiser bus. These are shuttle buses to from the various hotels.
We circled the property so it was a nice introduction.
Passing by the Disney Ambassador Hotel
Overhead a monorail garage/round house.
A very large parking structure as we pass DisneySea. It is larger than the Mickey and Friends garage at Disneyland.
To the right DisneySea.. to the left Tokyo Bay.
Almost there...
Bayside Station. This is where you catch the monorail.
First stopping at another hotel.
A kids area in the lobby of the Hilton
Our room. It was a Happy Magic Room.
A big contrast to the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel we checked out of this morning..
The TV and desk area.
A small area with a coffee/tea pot. And a mini fridge below it.
The bathroom
The closet
The door out.
Several magazines/booklets. Almost all in Japanese in the room.
Opening the window. Our view. Disneyland... beyond the parking lots.
Bayside Station to the right.
A monorail leaving the station
Cinderella Castle above the trees as the sun is setting.
The Disneyland Hotel
Space Mountain
One more Cinderella Castle before heading out for food.. it is now after 5pm.
The alarm clock and some books in the room.
The Resort Cruiser we took to Bayside Station.
I will get more/better pictures of this on later days.
Bought our monorail ticket and then headed up to board. Easter is in full swing until June here.
Onboard the Monorail. There were a fair number of guests for this trip.. better pictures later.
My first glimpse of the Hotel Mira Costa at DisneySea
We exited at the Gateway Station. This is the 2nd stop from where we got on.
We headed to Ikspiari for dinner and found a familiar location for dinner.
Thought this was interesting. Umbrellas you can borrow for your time at the Ikspiari, for free.
A quick look around while we waited to be seated. Had about a 20 min wait. Given it was a Saturday night, not bad.
I heard music and went to the end of the walkway and found out there was a concert going on in front of the Disney Store
I never caught her name but she sang some Disney songs and there was a large crowd there to see her.
After dinner we walked around and the press was there talking with the performer.
My pictures did not come out well.. here is the best of the group. I would not make a good paparazzi
Looking up. I was on the third floor for dinner and the first shots of this area.
Some random shots as I walked through Ikspiari
Another entrance to the Disney Store
Looking inside. It was a fairly typical Disney Store like you would find in a mall.
Disney Vacation Club had a large storefront too and a model room inside. I never went in though.
Walking back through Ikspiari
On the lowest level found a market
Time to head back up to the Disney Resort Line
Not busy at all right now, it was just before 8pm.

There were several topiaries outside but it was rather dark and I did not want to take the time to use a flash.
Looking Glass Gifts is a small market on the ground floor.
A look around inside. Frozen was on quite a few products.
The price for a bottle of Coke
An events board.
A restaurant - Canna
The menu
It was about 120 yen to the dollar.. so this is rather expensive.
Another dining choice, the Sherwood Garden Restaurant
Time to head upstairs. An Alice tile piece with Easter decorations on the staircase
Stepping into the lobby area.
A nursery for mothers by the restrooms
Looks like the same signs as Hong Kong more or less.
Looking down a guest hallway.
A quick restroom shot..

Back out to the lobby.
Each floor has a different character in the ironwork.
Out front of the hotel a Fantasia fountain featuring Mickey.

Walked down the hallway toward the ballrooms
Looked like several events going on this evening.
A map of the area

Trying to capture the ironwork..

The back of the house is open.
A closer look at a couple rooms
The Dreamers Lounge is under the large windows and spans most of the lobby.
A shot into the lounge.
The menu and sample for the lounge
I returned to the lower level and the primary gift shop, Disney Mercantile
