Shanghai Disneyland Resort Pictures
The text list below contains the captions of all images in the set.
The view I woke up to, just before 6am from my room on the 6th floor of the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel.
A closer look at the Enchanted Storybook Castle in the distance.
Just before 7am went upstairs for breakfast at the Magic Kingdom Club.
My first plate this morning a variety of character waffles and some bacon (it was a challenge to find crisp or even sometimes cooked bacon).
From my table at breakfast I could look I toward Tron and beyond it downtown Shanghai was sort of visible.
To the right the rest of Shanghai Disneyland.
Back to the room to get ready for the day. A random picture of the air vent design.
Arrived at the Disneytown entrance to the park which was open only for Hotel guests 10 minutes before park opening and this line greeted me.
Passing by the entrance on my first switchback...
Some Disneytown signs from the queue as I waited.
Almost there.. on the last straight away.. its been only about 10 minutes since I entered the line.
To my right a nearly empty Disneytown.
What I assume is a Club 33 entrance to the park is to the right of the regular entrance.
8:18am and in the park heading to Mickey Avenue.
Found a spot for Zao Shang Hao, Mickey. With about 10 minutes to spare. Then a cast member came over and told me they had cancelled the show (about the same time the announcement was made)
Mickey and Minnie arriving for pictures.
So I set off into the park. First stop Dumbo the Flying Elephant which is located in front of the castle in the Garden of Imagination in this park, not Fantasyland. I have experienced the attraction in the other five castle parks so I had to do it in this one too.
The queue signage features both Chinese and English.
On the next flight.
Dumbo looks the same as the other current styles (Tokyo is the lone park with the older style).
Onboard and ready to soar.
Controls, instructions, and safety info.
A point of view video of my flight with Dumbo.
Some random pictures as I circled onboard Dumbo. Looking toward Mickey Avenue
Looking toward Adventure Isle, in the foreground is the Gardens of Imagination and the Fantasia Carousel on the right.
Off in the distance on the left is Pirates in Treasure Cove.
Enchanted Storybook Castle
A closer look at Pirates. The show building facade is that of a very large fort.
Back on the ground. A look back at my Dumbo.
No wait to meet Mickey this morning.
Walking toward Fantasyland.
Looking toward Treasure Cove
Crystal Treasures is a store inside the castle.
Walking through Fantasyland.
The Village Haus has not opened yet.
Voyage to the Crystal Grotto opened at 9am and we were on the first boat.
A look through the empty queue as we entered.
A view of the castle from the queue.
Our boat arrived. Time to board.
Looking out the back of the boat as we pulled away from the dock.
Looking forward. The boat was not full.
A point of view video of our experience on Voyage to the Crystal Grotto.

Entering the Crystal Grotto under the Enchanted Storybook Castle.
Looking back as the doors to the Grotto closed.
the castle from the boat as we pulled in to offload.
The next boat arriving.
Next up the Once Upon a Time Adventure inside the Enchanted Storybook Castle. This is a walk through exhibit.
Looking back at the entrance. No wait this morning yet.
Ready to go a cast member showing us the way in.
The first room features a book that sets the story
Here are some video clips looking at most of the scenes/stops on the adventure.
Next you climb the stairs in the castle. Along the staircase are scenes from several films. Frozen started it off.
Brave
Tangled
Princess and the Frog
Mulan
Pocahontas
Aladdin
I could not get a good picture while walking (and I was already slowing the group down with all my other pictures) but through the glass you can look down on the center courtyard of the castle.
Continuing up.
Beauty and the Beast
The Little Mermaid
Sleeping Beauty
Cinderella
And finally Snow White, where is all began as far as Disney fairy tales go.
The first room. Since I was taking pictures of the staircase I was in the back... but the room had a Magic Mirror in the middle.
Snow White in the Magic Mirror.
Then we passed through the magic mirror.
The wishing well scene was next.
Along the way a book telling the story, in Chinese only.
The forest scene.
The Evil Queen's Cauldron
Everyone gathered around to look at it.
A look around the room.
The dwarfs pictures line the cottage wall in the next scene.
Snow White on her bed in the forest with the prince.
She awakens.
And they all live happily ever after.
The Little Garden was open so stopped by there next.
A nice little courtyard atop the castle.
Another corridor that was roped off.
Time to head down.
Attempting another picture through the glass.. still not good.
Back outside. This is the viewing area for Castle shows.
Looking toward Mickey Avenue.
I typically refrain from restroom shots, but there was no one in this one in Fantasyland so just wanted to say that they have both traditional western style toilets
As well as Chinese style. There is a symbol on the door telling you what is inside.
To complete the bathroom tour.. the sink area and to the left changing table. No towels here, all air dryers.
Some signs along the walkway.
The entrance to Adventure Isle.
Looking toward the Gardens of Imagination (or the hub area / central plaza of the park).
Found a spot across from the Whistle Stop Shop for a show.
A crowd had gathered.
To the left is the First Aid and Baby Care center.
Just about show time for Duffy and Friends Show - Featuring StellaLou

The finale.
Cast Members set up this Mickey in the middle of the parade route. Guests walked around it and posed for pictures.
After the initial crowd cleared I was able to get this picture to try and show the scale of the Mickey on the parade route.
