Shanghai Disneyland Resort Pictures
The text list below contains the captions of all images in the set.
After the parade I took the direct exit to DisneyTown.
Tomorrowland in the distance as I exited the park.
Disneytown was a little more crowded than this morning.
My destination for lunch today, the Blue Frog Bar & Grill
My meal.. hamburger and fries.
After lunch walked back to the park and checked out the Cheesecake Factory menu
As expected it was large and very similar to what you would find elsewhere.
A closer look at a couple of the sections.
The Walt Disney Grand Theatre entrance
Wolfgang Pucks
We decided to head back to the room to check out the afternoon offerings of the Magic Kingdom Club and get something to drink (since the tiny drink at lunch was not enough and no refills). On the way took some pictures around Disneytown.
Trend D was connected to World of Disney.
As was the Marketplace
And D-Street
World of Disney is the anchor store at the point where all traffic to from the parking lot and bus stops passes. The Metro does not as it goes the opposite direction.
Mickey arches leading to the Lakeshore district.
The Lakeshore district of Disneytown. We turned at this point toward the ferry.
The Shanghai Disneyland Hotel on the opposite bank.
Our room is on the right, just above the dark color the center window in the group of three (second from the top).
Plenty of signs to guide you around.
The entrance area was nice and calm at 1:30pm
Looking toward the park.
Just missed the boat.. of course.
These ferry boats seemed to be next generation Friendship craft.
Our boat arriving. Luckily it was only 10 minutes round trip not the 20 the sign posted.
There was a second boat but it was doing a scenic cruise.
Wishing Star Park rings the lake.
Onboard the ferry. An LCD screen in the front played Disney commercials and information such as FastPass etc..
Not sure what this is (later we learned it was a fountain).
A better picture of where the FamilyMart is in relation to the hotel that I first walked by last night.
Prices for the scenic cruise.
Some spring blooms in the park.
Looking back across the lake.
Making my way back onto the hotel grounds.
Swung by the pool area to show others who did not go with me last night. People in the pool so this is the only pic for now I will circle back again.
After a brief stop to drop bags in the room arrived at the Magic Kingdom Club to check out the afternoon snack/dessert offerings.
There was no one around so here is a look at the offerings.
Th lounge itself. We were the only group there this afternoon. It was around 2:15pm
We got something to drink and a couple desserts then grabbed our bags and were off. Pluto was in the lobby meeting guests.
The Mickey and Minnie statue at the front entrance.
The front entrance from the shuttle stop.
Less than 5 minutes and we were on our way. The public bus stop in front of the hotel.
Passing the Taxi stand. More cabs but not crowded this afternoon.
The bus stops.
To give a sense of time it was 9 minutes from the lobby picture until this one off the bus and walking toward the park.
The Disney shuttles use the first bus stop. The others and taxi stop are down this walkway.
The barriers are all pushed aside this quiet afternoon.
This walkway/bridge takes you to the main guest parking lot. I never ventured over there.
On this side of the district are Minnie arches to compliment Mickey on the other side.
Some renovation work going on along the walkway.
Starbucks is the first Disneytown shop coming from this side.
Then World of Disney
A much more calm scene at 3:11pm.
For comparison it took 4 minutes to get through the queues for security and the park entrance this afternoon.
Trying to sell a tour/vip experience.
Attraction posters as you enter.
Out door vending location on Mickey Ave.
Shadows on the castle this afternoon
Walked over to check out the Fantasia Carousel. It was almost an hour wait if I remember correctly so I decided not to ride.
Looking back at Mickey Avenue
Character eggs in the garden.
The Storytellers statue of Walt and Mickey are near the entrance to Gardens of Imagination. The parade route is directly behind me.
The dedication plaque for the park is also here.
Walking toward the center of the Gardens of Imagination.
Donald and Daisy Eggs
I took this path to a quiet spot off to the side.
The Winnie the Pooh gang was here in Egg form.
