Started my morning off leaving for the airport under a full moon just before 5am.
The sun is up and waiting around LAX for my first flight.
The plane pulling in. First leg is to Seattle.
I believe this is Mt Saint Helens
Seattle as we are on final approach.
My lunch view at the Seattle airport.
Spotted a 787 passing by.
A new road going in near the airport.
Where I will be for the next 15 hours or so...
I spent a lot of time watching this screen (and the map).. Only 6,481 miles to go.. 3:26pm on Sunday at this time.
A nice afternoon in Seattle
Our flight path.
The flight food schedule
Airplane food...
Some familiar cities for fans of the Deadliest Catch TV show... all we saw were clouds out the window for almost the entire flight (would say at least 13.5 hours of it.. no water or land)
Halfway there.. 10:16pm PST on Sunday.
Taxing at Hong Kong Airport just before 9:00pm on Monday evening.
Through customs and on our way to a cab by 9:40pm Sunday.
Had some energy so here is a look around the Disneyland Hotel and our room. Starting off at the entrance.
Watch out for shuttle buses when taking pictures in a driveway! This is the shuttle to the other Disney Hotel and the park/transportation area.
Looking down the driveway.
Back toward the front entrance.
To the left.
Another set of doors before the lobby straight ahead.
Stepping into the lobby Mickey and Minnie Statues greet you.
The central portion of the lobby features a glass elevator on one side and windows straight out the back. To the left beyond the elevators is the front desk to the right the gift shop.
Moving into the center of the room.
looking up at the chandelier
Looking back toward the front door.
Looking out the lobby windows you can see a maze and not much else this evening.
One of the many places to sit in the lobby.
The front desk area.
The artwork behind the desk.
A kids waiting area off to the side of the front desk.
Next to the front desk is Walts Cafe

This hallway leads toward the banquet halls and a restaurant
The Crystal Lotus
Turning around to the hallway.
One of the many light fixtures.
Heading downstairs now.
A mural at the bottom of the stairs near the elevator.
The Enchanted Garden restaurant (reminding me of the cruise ship a bit)
A map of the lower level.
The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is located on the ground floor near the Enchanted Garden.
The gym is behind those doors
Walking out by the pool area now. There are two pools an outdoor and indoor.
My lens fogged up, it was very similar to Orlando this evening with it being warm and humid out even though it was almost midnight.
The outdoor pool
Looking back at the hotel (the windows on the first floor are the gym and pool).
You can see the water slide on the far side of the pool.
A look through the window at the indoor pool.
A trashcan...
A closer look
They started turning the lights off around the pool and other outdoor areas at midnight so I took that to be a hint to go back inside.
Walking toward the glass elevator.
A look inside a standard elevator.
A bandstand over the lobby (this was on the 6th floor).
A video clip of a quick pan around the lobby from the 6th floor.
Time to check out our room. Here is the key.
We had a deluxe room with balcony.
A closer look at the headboards
A closer look at the artwork on the wall.
My homebase for the next few days.. this was soon covered in cables, adapters, camera and computer gear...
A couple small towel creations to greet us.
The TV/dresser area.
The mini bar area
A small fridge and safe underneath.
Each day they gave us three new bottles of water, tea, etc..
One of the mugs.

Thought this was a nice touch.. Sneezy on the tissues.
To the right the toilet area
The shower/tub area.
Shampoo and soap
That concludes the first look at the room. Time for bed now it has been a long trip to get here.
