  • 12:21pm - Parked in the Mickey and Friends parking structure
  • The security screening sign looked new/clean. The logo jumped out to me too. The previous version may have had it and I just never paid attention.
  • The area that was formerly the lounge and Steakhouse 55 are behind a curtain and being worked on. The restaurant is not returning.
  • A map of the Disneyland Hotel convention space
  • The Discovery Tower houses the Villas at the Disneyland Hotel. This tower opens in a little over a month, Sept 28th. Finishing touches were being worked on.
  • The walkway to the Frontier Tower is still narrow with walls.
  • A quiet space to sit.. a stark contrast to the old waterfalls that used to be here which were quite loud.
  • Making my way toward Downtown Disney.
  • A look into a building on the West Side of the Downtown Disney. This is the one closest to the Monorail beam, furthest from the Disneyland Hotel.
  • Fences on both sides of the walkway/street. On the right is the steel for the new Din Tai Fung Restaurant.
  • The concrete replacement continues so there is still this corridor to reach Downtown Disney from the security checkpoint.

  • Visited the Star View Station DVC Members Lounge with some friends.
  • The lounge is upstairs in the former Launch Bay/Innoventions/Carousel of Progress building.

  • 4:12pm - Making my way into Fantasyland
  • Scaffolding is removed from Toad Hall as the renovation project in this area of Fantasyland looks to be completed.
  • The Mark Twain pulled out of port then had to stop due to a Tom Sawyer Island Raft in the its way.
  • Tiana's Bayou Adventure work in the distance.. I am heading that way.

  • Not much visible change on Tiana's Palace this visit.
  • Looks like a couple of trash shoots have been added to the scaffolding to facilitate the demolition work. We were going to try and start the rumor these are tests for a new two drop option for the attraction but we are too far from April fools day...

  • No visible progress at the train station and looked like only two trains in operation still.

  • 5:08pm - A 10 minute posted wait for Pirates.

  • Preparing the raft for the Jambalaya Jazz Band and Queenie. Noticed they only had two sets listed instead of three today.
  • Went back to the second deck to listen to the Jambalaya Jazz Band

  • The pipe repair project continues in Adventureland. Walls are pushed out further and both restrooms plus the walkway to Frontierland are inaccessible. Leaving only a narrow walkway to Main Street.

  • Renovation Work continues on the facade of Soarin'. The attraction is open.

  • 7:13pm - Main Street USA
  • 7:16pm - Disneyland wait times
  • Sleeping Beauty Castle
  • Fantasy Faire exteriors are being renovated. Everything was still accessible.
  • The theatre was open to go sit in this evening, performances were over for the day.
  • The Mark Twain in port for the evening and closed to guests, unlike last visit.
  • Noticed the lights on the upper level were off now, they were on when I first walked up.
  • A closer look at the tree house work..
  • Plaza Point has its fall/Halloween decor up.
  • The Main Street Fire Truck was out celebrating its 65th anniversary, which is the 16th.
  • Stopped by the Rivers of America to see the Queenie and Jambalaya Jazz Band for their 8:10pm set. The raft was up river then headed back to the dock.
  • The fountains and lights were turned off, so the performance was cancelled for some reason. I took this as a sign it was time to leave and headed back to the parking structure.
