12:03pm - Parked on the Cars Level of the Pixar Pals Parking Structure.
Rogers: The Musical opened today. The Disney California Adventure guide map features it on the cover.
12:20pm - Made it into the park. Hollywood Blvd is lined with banners for the show.
To celebrate 4th of July the resort is hosting a number of Military Bands throughout the weekend.
I made it in time to catch the final couple of songs by the 40th Infantry Division The Guard Experience Band.
The first show of the day was about to begin. I checked and Standby was already full, as expected so I will try back later.
The final guests for the opening show are making their way inside.
A few racks of merchandise are now available next to Shawarma Palace, Too

Each day there are a limited number (I heard 100 per show) of premium viewing experience seats available. You can purchase the package at the Studio Catering Co.
They sold out within an hour of the park opening this morning.
A line of guests waiting to be let in for the 2pm show experience. The lounge area is open 90 minutes prior to show time.
After checking in you get a photo in front of this backdrop.
Then guests can hang out in this roped of lounge area before being let into the theater before everyone else. They have the option to choose any non reserved seat they want at that point.
There is also a merchandise cart in the area just for them.
I was curious and there was still Magic Key park reservation availability today as of 12:35pm for both parks.
Walking through Avengers Campus
A small stage area set up for Nick Fury to conduct Espionage Training sessions throughout the day. There is no schedule posted, in the app, or on the website. But after convincing a cast member that I was not a skrull they told me to look for him around
Not a lot of visible progress on the new gift shop.

Grizzly Peak
1/2 of Maters Junkyard Jamboree is closed for renovation. The other half was down when I walked by.
The two towers of the San Fransokyo Golden Gate Bridge are taking shape.
Wonder how long until this sign will be replaced.
Most of the scaffolding around the Bakery is now removed.
The last sections of scaffolding from the water side have been removed since my last visit.
The two bridge towers are installed and elements are being added.
The walkway is blocked off on both sides due to the project
Conduit for lighting is being installed.
The Embarcadero Gifts and Bay Area are behind scaffolding for some renovation work.
The shop remains open though.
I appreciate walls like this... blocks access but allows views.

Back to Avengers Campus to see Nick Fury

The session I was at featured Teamwork. So these guests were working to flip over the blanket without picking it up and the young guests till standing on it.
There are still a couple rows of tables near the Hyperion queue but not many and not much shade.
1:47pm - Joined the stand by queue for the 2:00pm Rogers: The Musical.

Made it to the top.
I opted to sit show center which put me in the second to last row.
While waiting decided to try the virtual queue for the last two show of the day which opened at 2pm.
I failed to secure a spot. The connection was terrible so that did not help. They were gone instantly as you would expect for opening day.
2:00pm - Showtime
Video: The show started a few minutes late but abruptly stopped right before the curtain was to open.
While waiting for the show to rest took a look around. Looking up at the industrial look of the ceiling (compared to the more finished and themed look of the theaters in Tokyo)
2:10pm - Still resetting the show.

Work continues in Adventureland. The mens room is now closed due to the repairs.
Indiana Jones Adventure was down when I walked by. Indiana Jones started appearing in Adventureland today. I did not catch him though.

Moving into New Orleans Square to check in on Tiana's Palace construction which looks to be on the home stretch with most of the scaffolding now removed.

The scrim was blowing a bit so you could get a glimpse of the top portion.
Haunted Mansion had a short wait so this park area was not in use and peaceful this afternoon

Scaffolding and scrims are removed from Peter Pan's Flight and the attraction has reopened.

4:03pm - Only a 20 minute posted wait for Peter Pan's Flight
Mr. Toad's Wild Ride is open, just like last visit.

Here you can see the narrow walkway left for Downtown Disney right now.

Our monorail stopped quickly here. After a minute or so pause we moved forward. Heard a tree limb hitting the monorail as we passed by, maybe that is why we stopped in this spot.
7:29pm - Two hours until Wondrous Journeys and guests are claiming spots in the hub, there is a breeze so odds do not seem great for fireworks.

The Indiana Jones pinball machine has returned recently.
Crews were preparing the Rivers of America water screens for Wondrous Journeys projections this evening.
Returned to Black Spire Outpost and gave some of the group gave the Bounty Hunter Game a try.
This was a long line for the Ship to Shore Marketplace for 9:13pm
9:20pm - Found a spot for Wondrous Journeys just in time to watch the weather balloon drift quickly away.
They announced no fireworks this evenings, projections only. So I headed for the exit.
9:48pm - Back at the garage and ready to head home.
