11:47am - Parked in the Pixar Pals Parking structure and on my way.
There is a preview center for the new Villas at the Disneyland Hotel Discover Tower in the Fantasy Tower lobby.
A look at the new Discovery Tower as exterior construction moves toward completion.
The north side is still being worked on and looks like the back side may be too.
More decorative elements of the facade are being installed.
Looks like work in the rooms is progressing too. Less of the windows are blocked this visit vs last.
Teams were working on the overhangs around the grand villas.

A few tables were out between the Adventure Tower and the walkway to Downtown Disney on the lawn.
You can see the work on the west side Downtown Disney project is just starting to be visible over the fence.
Downtown Disney feels crowded with the narrow walkway due to the construction.
The Young Jedi photo op is still available.

Not a lot of visible progress on the Jazz Kitchen since my last visit.
The lower level is still not in use.
The Express location is not open yet either, but it looked like an orientation or training was going on inside.
The menus were also posted, but with the glare hard to read right now.
Removal of the former Uva Bar continues. The Catal Restaurant and Sprinkles are stripped to the concrete.
The interior appears to be completely cleared .

Hyperspace Mountain returned earlier this month for a limited run.
Pizza Planet had a line stretching to the edge of the building.
Grogu sippers are still available in a number of locations.
A new Disney Vacation Club members lounge has opened since my last visit.

Foundations are in and the buildings are starting to rise up for the Downtown Disney project.
The walkway area looks leveled and the new planters are taking shape.

The Matterhorn renovation project is nearing completion. The scaffolding is removed and they were testing the ride systems.
Some of the subs are showing some rust and not looking great.

The Adventureland Treehouse project continues to move along. This afternoon they were adding more scaffolding.

The Mark Twain top deck was closed off so opted not to go for a cruise today.

A new Ariel meet and greet opened in the it's a small world mall today featuring the new live action story Ariel.
There was a Disneyland photography team and a number of other people so getting a clear picture was not easy. I will stop by later hoping it will be a bit calmer.

I wanted to mobile order but when I tried it kept crashing the app. I would get to the review order step, click the button then either get an app crashed message or get sent to the search screen. So I had to wait in line to order.

Scaffolding and scrims are up at the Bakery.
The Bakery remains open during the exterior work.
Scaffolding is still up on a small portion of the building.
No visible changes to the bridge since my last visit.
Paradise Bay this afternoon
The projectors were up and doors were open for all the back projectors.
The Silly Symphony Swings have reopened since my last visit.

An extension being added for the new Beer window in the Wharf. Guess the electrical work we spotted last time was for something inside, not the sign as though.
Here is the concept art. I missed that it comes out one column further than the old storefront.
The opposite side has some walls up now too.

Iron Man out for photos
Guardians of the Galaxy Dance-Off, it has feature Mantis since the new film premiered. This was my first time seeing the modified show.

The walls are all down in the Hyperion queue/courtyard.

Assuming they are stripping them down to repaint them.

Took a quick look in the Super Store to see if there is anything new
Walked through and nothing jumped out to me.
They were preparing for a special Flag Retreat today.

This evenings flag retreat included over 100 active duty Marines and Navy Sailors.
They modified the ceremony slightly with the Band and Dapper Dans being closer to the Train Station and not around the Flag Pole.
Noticed the tree on the right (city hall side) of the train station appears to have had a large branch cut off recently.

The posted wait time for Runaway Railway was 50 minutes this evening.
From the overlook at Goofy's you could see into the park and the sections they are replacing.
A closer look at Ariel's meet and greet location. The area was available for photos now that she is done for the day.
Thought this line for churros looked long in Fantasyland.
This is the final weekend for Splash Mountain at Disneyland. The attraction closes next week to become Tiana's Bayou Adventure.
Wait times were up for its final weekend and I expect them to climb longer as guests get their last rides in.

Downtown Disney was what you would expect for a Friday evening.

The Disney 100 special confectionery display is still in the lobby.
Taking a walk across the street to check in on the Pixar Place Hotel.
The future Great Maple location has a ways to go.
The front of the hotel has reopened since the last time I was out here.
I did not notice any Pixar Place nor Paradise Pier signage. So for now its a hotel in transition with no name it appears.

Assuming more artwork is coming, but for now signs about the renovation are up.
A small waiting area across the front desk. The hallway and elevators are blocked off. There was a walkway to the conference rooms but that was all that was down there.

The glass elevator was accessible but the other regular elevators were not available. Guests were being directed around to the service elevator on the back side.

Stitch's Interplanetary Beach Party Blast is back in Tomorrowland from 7-11pm.

Wondrous Journeys was projections only this evening due to winds at higher elevations.
