Before looking at my pictures from the parks last week a welcome kit arrived for my Magic Key Pass. This was a promotion for those that bought a pass in the opening weeks.
Inside the box was a pin, button, magnet, lanyard, map and 2,000 Disney Movie Reward points.
7:21am - Was directed into a spot on the Monsters Inc Level
Most of the level was empty still with only a couple partial rows of cars so far.
The tram stop billboards have been changed to promote the upcoming holiday season.
7:30am making the walk to the park.
The Christmas tree was backstage awaiting installation on Main Street USA
Monorail Red and Blue were making the rounds this morning, no guests on board yet.
World of Disney's windows have been changed to their holiday graphics and merchandise.
I had just under 20 minutes until rope drop so stopped to take pictures on the way.
Inside a cast member was stocking some shelves. The center section is Christmas now.

Arrived at the entrance to Disney California Adventure at 7:46am. No lines to get in.
Across the Esplanade the same was true at this hour. The initial rush had gone in and those arriving were spaced enough to not cause a backup.
Halloween has been removed from Buena Vista Street and Christmas has yet to arrive.
A small crowd being held in Hollywood Land, assuming all these guests are heading for Guardians of the Galaxy.

The largest crowd was on the parade route. They were being held just short of Avengers Campus.

8:04am making my way to Cars Land. A majority of those queued up walked quickly toward Radiator Springs Racers.
I opted to give Mater's Junkyard Jamboree a try with my 2.5 year old nephew who enjoys the attraction, but this morning refused to ride.. so instead we waited then walked by the car instead of getting in.
Cast Members were repainting the backstage gates in the Pacific Wharf area near Cars Land.
In the Pacific Wharf area Christmas decorations were up at the dining locations.
Paradise Bay is still dry as they continue to work on World of Color.
The most interesting visible change is concrete forms have gone up for new support columns for the projector housings. Guess these will last longer than the old ones. Will be interesting to see if the housings themselves change dramatically. Would have b

Went for a second spin on the Pal-A-Round with other members of my group that joined me.

Christmas decorations are up along the Grizzly Recreation Area pathway.
Redwood Creek is closed for the holiday transformation.

No wait for GRR this cool morning (it was in the low 60s still.
Thought this was interesting. Lightning Lane signage installed but FastPass signage still in place, neither of which is available.

Our group was called at 11:13am, we were on our way to lunch so opted to return later to ride.
11:40am the Virtual queue return wrapped around the building.
The scanned groups in quickly and within 5 minutes we were in the queue.
Most of the queue was in use and some of the backstage overflow too.
I had never been in this extended portion of the queue. Only the outer ring was in use so we were not there long.
We were nearing the building just before noon. For once we were hoping the line would slow down so we could try for Rise of the Resistance which opened at noon.
The line did crawl along, we reached the door at 12:09pm, and were successful in securing a boarding group for Rise of the Resistance.
12:13pm - About 30 minutes from entering the queue we were in the preshow room.

The tables that were set up to the right in Avengers Campus were removed several weeks ago. Wonder if the Red Car will be returning any time soon.
1:09pm - The wait to enter DCA this afternoon. The 1pm park hopping time does seem to cause a healthy crowd.
DCA was backed up to the compass. Disneyland was not as bad, the queues were not even to the Monorail beam.

Lights have been added to the trees along Main Street for the holidays already.
Plaza Point Holiday Shoppe has opened since my last visit. Here are the windows along Main Street. This new store replaced the camera store on the corner.

Stopped by the Disney Gallery to show some friends the Muppets Haunted Mansion exhibit.

With Halloween over the sound track has changed back to Brand New Day. Hearing that song again in a park took me back to Tokyo Disneyland (where I first heard it for the 35th Anniversary).
The annual snowfall on Sleeping Beauty Castle. Most of the icicle lights are installed too.
My Rise of the Resistance boarding group was called at 3pm. So only a three hour virtual wait.

The FastPass Machines were removed a while ago.

Canoes were still circling the Rivers of America this late afternoon
The Mark Twain Riverboat setting off on a cruise. The upper deck was not in use today. Only the lower two. Noticed this on a half dozen cruises, so I skipped a ride today (so no Pelican's Landing pictures).
it's a small world is closed for the annual holiday transformation. It will reopen on the 12th.

Thought about taking the train to see the walkway work which appears to be almost done, but the line was longer than my patience.
