Parked on the 4th floor of Pixar Pals today and on my way to the parks at 7:25am.
Opted to walk through Downtown Disney to start my day since I had time to spare.
7:40am through security and strolling through a peaceful Downtown Disney.
A small line forming for the Monorail. I opted to keep walking vs waiting 20 minutes.
Monorail blue pulling out of the station on a pre-opening run. Today is the first day back in operation since the parks closed in March 2020.

For the Christmas season Catal will be hosting an event with Santa on several dates.
No waits at the ticket booths since there almost all tickets are pre-purchased now with reservations required.
7:54am Arrived at Disneyland.

We waited a couple minutes at by 8:03am it was peaceful in Tomorrowland.
No wait for Buzz Lightyear so made that my first stop.
8:15am taking a peaceful walk through to Fantasyland.

8:44am - Entering Black Spire Outpost

Less than 3 minutes later we were in the briefing room for Smuggler's Run.
No time for pictures today. We walked up and were directed to a waiting cockpit.
Rey was moving around the garage area.
Traveled by a spaceship and now a riverboat. Time for a cruise along the Rivers of America.
The Fantasmic renovation work has wrapped up and the fountains are underwater again.
9:20am - New Orleans Square this morning
A look at Pelican's Landing construction as we steamed by.
It looks like the walkway has been lowered and they are adding a few courses of brick facade.
On the riverside the first concrete forms are removed but it is still hard to make out how the area will look.
This area looks to be leveled and compacting is going on in preparation for the new walkway to be installed.
The Columbia is still in dry dock.
Ropes are ready to be used for cruises where Tiana is onboard. She was not this trip.

The Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage is closed and drained for renovation so the view from the Monorail queue and station is blocked.
Waiting for the Monorail. Only one train in operation for some reason.
Was about a 10 minute wait only for Monorail blue to arrive.
On my way. It was nice to be riding the highway in the sky again. This is a look toward the cast member parking lot. Originally this was to be a guest walkway from a parking structure but that project ran into opposition and was stopped.

The main entrance of Disneyland had moderate waits at 10:02am.

Small World will be closing on the 24th for its annual transformation for the holidays.
They have started to install the lights on the facade for the holidays.
No visible progress on the walkway from ground level and the train is not in operation so no elevated view today.

They are still working on the support steel for the facade that will hide the show building for Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway.
Some additional posters have been added to the construction wall since my last visit.
The new signs all reference the El Capitoon Theater hysterical restoration project that is taking place. This theater will be the entrance for Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway.

All quiet at the Toontown Depot this morning. The trains were closed.

10:45am - Disneyland Band performance at the Train Station.

I succeeded in picking up WEB Slingers boarding groups but it looks like it was a rough morning with only 35 groups called so far.
The Disney Gallery Happy Haunts Materialize exhibit has some new additions.. it now guest starts the Muppets with some items from the Muppets Haunted Mansion.

The display case in the center of the lobby and a small display near the TV have been added to promote the Muppets Haunted Mansion.
The rest of the exhibit appears to be unchanged.

Disney Jr Dance Party has returned. I did not visit this trip, will most likely next one when I have my nephews with me.

75 minute wait for Mission Breakout when I walked by at 1:39pm

Guests finding curbs and spots in the shade to sit. The wharf was very busy this afternoon.
Since my last visit the coffee cart has returned. It now features Joffrey's coffee.
The World of Color renovation work continues. The lagoon is drained and looks like some cleanup has happened since my last visit.
The doors for the equipment storage areas look to be renovated or replaced.
The end doors are currently removed with a temporary cover installed.

Some of the cables have been covered since my last visit.
The line for frozen treats stretched to past the Coco billboard.
The support structures for the projectors and their housings for World of Color are being removed.
In the background you can see only one remains standing.
What is left after they cut the structure down/out.
No change in signage yet.. but Genie+ and Lightning Lanes are on there way.

80 minute wait for the Grizzly River Run at 2:24pm. It was just over 90 degrees this afternoon.
The line filled the queue, the extended queue and stretched down the walkway.

3:15pm - Returned to Disneyland.

Stopped by the Magic Key Lounge/Experience in the Starcade in Tomorrowland.
The holiday season is taking over the space. There were several Christmas trees out.
The two large photo ops were still up featuring Muppets Haunted Mansion and Haunted Mansion Holiday.
Mickey and Minnie debuted their new Holiday attire today and Magic Key holders get a first look. Minnie Mouse was out when I arrived.

A posted 45 min wait for the Monorail this evening. It looked like only one train in service again.
My boarding group was called but I decided not to walk back and wait in that long return queue.

At this point the group was fading on me. We were at about 12 hours since leaving the parking structure so we decided to call it a day and head for the car.
