7:26am - Parked and on my way to the Disneyland Hotel for a quick walk through before heading to the parks.
The north side security check point is cast member entrance only in the morning so you have to walk around to the west entry. Keep that in mind when walking from the parking structures.
The front entrance to the Disneyland Hotel lobby. For Halloween this year the lobby features some Haunted Mansion photo opportunities.
Inside the lobby you are greeted with this Haunted Mansion graphic.

During the closure a gate was added just past the hat before the hotel grounds. This was my first time seeing it since I had not ventured out this way on my previous visits.
Monorails were out on the track cycling this morning but no signs of life at the Downtown Disney station.

The display in the middle of the Downtown Disney tram stop features the Muppets Haunted Mansion now.

7:56am Arriving at Disneyland to start my morning.
Main Street USA a couple minutes before park opening.
A line at Carnation Cafe waiting for it to open for breakfast.
Renovation work continues on the former photo supply store.
8:00am and the rope drop announcement played and the masses have started to rush into the park and clear out the hub.
By 8:02 the hub area was calm and clear.
Sleeping Beauty Castle
Seems almost everyone that entered Fantasyland was in line for Peter Pan, as usual.
We opted for Snow White which was a walk on.
Next up visited Mr. Toad, again a walk on.
Had to wait a minute or so for Casey Jr to arrive at the station.
Only other party on the train sat in the caboose.
Checking on my boarding group, they had not opened for the day yet.
Passing by a quiet Frontierland (Big Thunder is closed for renovation and the Mark Twain had not started cruised for the day yet)
Strolling through Adventureland, saw no wait so went for a Jungle Cruise.
Tarzan's Treehouse is still closed for renovation, you could hear work going on this morning.
The Bootstrappers were out performing as I passed through New Orleans Square.
A posted 13 minute wait for Haunted Mansion Holiday, turned out to be about 10.
Since my first visit several weeks ago a wreath has been added to mark the 20th anniversary of the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay.
20 years and my gingerbread house pics still need work..

9:15am boarded the Mark Twain Riverboat for a cruise around the Rivers of America
Still working on the first Fantasmic fountain.

As we pulled into port there was a film crew at the Big Thunder exit.
Big Thunder is closed for renovation.
Someone told me it was a Dancing with the Stars taping.

10:05am my group is called for Rise of the Resistance.
10:09am entering the queue.
10:26am In the hanger bay already. Turned out to be less than 10 min wait.
10:42 walking out, so under 30 minutes total time.
The Pearly Band performing in the small world mall area.
Mary Poppins and Bert were nearby.
No real visible change on the pavement project from ground level this visit (and I did not make it onto the train). You could hear work going on behind the walls.

The new structure is starting to be enclosed.
11:45am - The Disneyland Band, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse marching along Main Street USA.
11:57am - A check of some Disneyland wait times
More wait times.
In Tomorrowland the Magic Key holder experience/lounge is operating throughout October. No virtual queue today, you could walk right in.
12:15pm - Halloween Character Cavalcade

The FastPass Kiosks in Tomorrowland have been removed.
Stopped by the lounge. It was fairly quiet inside.

The only wait was for Minnie Mouse
Avengers Campus maps were available. The original announcement I saw said this was Mon - Thurs only but they had two cast members scanning and distributing them today.

Across the Esplanade there was a mild line at DCA. About 5 minutes to park hop.

Knick's Knacks had Ratatouille merchandise from EPCOT. The attraction opened there today.
The coffee cart renovation seems to be wrapping up. Looks like a new sign is installed.

The queue was not in use when I returned
You could go straight inside to wait for the preshow.
There was a wait after exiting the preshow to board the WEB Slinger vehicle.
About 18 minutes from entering the queue until exiting.

This plate design was interesting.. a mix of WDW and Disneyland.

Carnation Cafe closed after lunch, at 2pm.
Disney's Grand California Hotel lobby has a Oogie Boogie Cauldron for Halloween.

There are 13 hidden Mickey's around the display. Here are several (skip the next several pages if you plan to visit and search for them yourself) First up this one on the bat's wing.

Arrived at the stage in Downtown Disney just in time for the last song of the 5:30pm set by the SCAREolers.
The Tina Aldana Band - Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month shared the stage alternating sets.
The SCAREolers starting their 6:30pm performance.
