The parking structure billboards now feature Halloween Time

Halloween Time officially begins today at the Disneyland resort. The entrance pumpkin characters are back.

The Photo Supply Co store is now closed and it will reportedly be converted to regular retain space.
8:00am and time for park opening.
Guests have been set free and crowds are moving quickly into the park.
The largest group heading through Adventureland.
Since we were moving slow a look into the shop at some of the Jungle Cruise merchandise
Tarzan's Treehouse is closed for renovation.
8:06am - found the end of the queue for Haunted Mansion Holiday. It wrapped in New Orleans Square.
The scaffolding is down in New Orleans Square. Some walls remain.
Walls up along the Rivers of America near Harbour Galley as a new seating area called Pelican's Landing is taking shape.
The queue grew quickly behind us and wrapped around Cafe Orleans by the French Market. They were directing guests down past the Pirates exit to join the end of the queue.
The queue in front of us was moving along at an ok pace.
Passing by the popcorn stand. Some of the Halloween bucket choices. Also notice the pricing now starts at $5.25 for popcorn.
Oogie has not returned to the popcorn stand.
8:25am.. entered the grounds of the Mansion.
Today is the first day for the Haunted Mansion Holiday this season. This is the 20th anniversary for the overlay.
8:41am we are just about to board.
This is my first time visiting the mansion since its renovation and reopening.
We stopped in an ok place for a minute, assuming it was a guest needing assistance in the boarding area.
So that means I was able to take some more pictures than normal of the gingerbread house for this year. It pays tribute to the all the previous ones.
On the move again.
Blurry.. but managed to spot the Monkey Bride on my first pass through, but did not get a clean picture. On the left hand side about halfway through the attic.

The queue for Haunted Mansion Holiday still spilled out into New Orleans Square but was moving well since there is no FastPass.
Riverfront dinning is an option right now.
Visited the Pirates of the Caribbean next.
A crew was out painting in New Orleans Square as we exited.

The pumpkins have returned to the hub around the Partners statue.
10:00am - Sleeping Beauty Castle
Genie and Jasmine were out greeting guests in the small world mall area.
Moana was too.
Time for it's a small world.
In Toontown steel supports for the new skyline facade are now installed on the roof of the Runaway Railway show building.
A team was on the roof meeting.
No real visible progress on the entry building.
Chip and Dale were fishing from Donald's boat this morning.
They were using hotdogs as bait.
No other characters were out when we walked through.
Nothing going on at the Fantasyland theater.

No real visible progress on the pavers. I was expecting to see the walls flipped around so they can work on the other side, but not yet.

The hot item this morning around the park was the Mickey popcorn bucket. At first only a stand or two had it but by mid day it seemed to be everywhere.

The Mark Twain was boarding so hopped on board for a cruise around the Rivers of America.

At this hour of the day, umbrellas do not offer a lot of shade at the tables, it was just past noon.
My boarding group for Rise of the Resistance was called at 12:21.
12:30 - In the queue for Rise of the Resistance.
12:40 - Rise of the Resistance has broken down so they cleared the queue and said to come back later. Unfortunately we had a choice of keeping that boarding group or cancelling it and getting WEB Slingers. Since they group had not experienced the new attraction we opted to do that, so no Rise of the Resistance today for us.
The line for Mickey popcorn buckets in New Orleans Square was still long.
Another look at the bucket with pricing info. $20.50 for the Mickey Mummy Premium popcorn bucket with popcorn.
Stopped by Tomorrowland to check out the Magic Key Lounge. It is in the Starcade. You cannot see much without entering.
There is a virtual queue, but there were nearly 100 groups in front of me so I passed for now since we were heading to DCA.

The Musical Celebration of Coco returned to Disney California Adventure. There were no posted show time on Friday.

After the show I walked through the Plaza de la Familia. The displays and decorations seemed about the same as usual. Nothing caught my eye as new or substantially different.

The extended queue was not in use. This looks like it would not be that pleasant mid day.
