I arrived at the Mickey and Friends Parking structure and found traffic backed up in all lanes, it took almost 20 minutes from exiting the freeway until I was in a parking spot.
The tram stops both had a couple trams worth of guests waiting.

Now a pan across the site starting on the left/north side and working across to the right. On the far left you can see concrete for the Millennium Falcon attraction building.

A crane is visible on the right, that is parked near the exit to Big Thunder.

The circular structure looks like some concrete has been poured and some forms removed.

The new train trestle is taking shape on the concrete bridge.
The dirt level behind the retaining wall is almost up to the track level.
You can just barely see the large AT-AT on the far side of the building through the maze of steel.
Looks like a portion of the second floor was just poured. It looks rather wet.

Here you can see finished concrete on the left and wet concrete on the right.
Panning further right you can see a crew working on a wire mesh as they prepare the next section to be poured.

Looks like progression of the steel toward the right/circular structure has stopped for now.
Crews lowering a plate into place. This looks to be where a steel beam will attach at some point.
The banners at the Tram Stop have been changed for the Summer of Heroes promotion.
I walked so this is the best picture I could get thanks to the security fence in the way.

The Monorail is closed for renovation.
Steel rising for Splitsville
Not a good picture.. but the wing of the Grand Californian that looks toward the Monorail is being renovated.
The area where the Monorail passes through has scaffolding up too.
The Grand Californian pool renovation has been completed and thanks to it being a cool day no one was using the pool.
Crews were still wrapping up landscaping work by the slide.
During the renovation all the hardscape was redone and the pools resurfaced.

Due to the media event Frozen shows were moved earlier today.
And Hollywood Land closed early. Set up was already underway for the evening when I arrived.

An Avengers Training Initiative was going on when I arrived in the area.
Hero Action Center allows you to find out which Hero is a match to your personality.
Between Stage 17 and Monsters is where the Disney Visa photo op was today.

Sunset Blvd was blocked off with a riser for the Grand Opening Ceremony this evening.
This armored Avengers vehicle was not being used today, but once the streets are cleared it will be used by Black Widow.

The attraction was open only for the media today and was a film location.
Heading inside.
A gold statue of the Collector is front and center (the curtains were for the filming).

Once inside you see some of Taneleer Tivan (the Collectors) collection. Unfortunately filming was going on so I could only see a few of the items.
And the plaques with what they are were facing the side I could not go to.
There is a large screen on the far wall and it loops through an introduction video where you learn the Guardians have been imprisoned by the Collector.
You are also introduced to each character.

Next stop the Collectors Office. It has a lot of items all around.
Inside the office a video welcome starts to play.
It is interrupted by Rocket who has escaped and has a plan to free the other Guardians.
He needs help though because he cannot access anywhere in the Fortress
But we can because we are on the tour of the Fortress
So he explains his plan to everyone.
He is going to ride on our lift.
And turn off/destroy the power to free everyone.
