Disneyland Resort Pictures
The text list below contains the captions of all images in the set.
The Frozen Disneyland 60 exit banner at the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure.
A quick video clip of the Star Wars Construction project to act as an overview.
A wide shot of the site this afternoon.
A pan across the site from left to right (north to south). The large mound of dirt is continuing to shrink as it is used elsewhere on the site.
Not a lot of visible change on the far wall but a lot of activity on the site as usual today.
More forms and walls taking shape throughout the project. Also notice the trailer added to the middle of the site.
The footers are done for the next section of wall and the rebar is growing. Also in the background notice the dirt level rising along the Big Thunder Trail wall.
Back to the center of the site.
A closer look.
New concrete columns rising from the footers and more taking shape.
A concrete pumper was on site as they were pouring more footers.
They are moving dirt against the back of the wall along the Big Thunder Trail and the wall is being extended around the corner now.
Not a lot of visible change here. I thought maybe we would start to see more of the river taking shape.
Looking toward Critter Country.
A wider shot of the middle of the site.
In the near area dirt and equipment as work continues on the utility installation under the new perimeter road.
Is this possible the start of work on the foundation for one of the show buildings? It appeared they were driving steel beams into the ground, maybe to be used as retaining walls to dig a basement. Just guessing at this point.
A closer look.
Pipes staged and ready to be installed in the foreground. In the background rebar.
A closer look at how they filled in the tip of the island. They dirt level has been brought up over the conduit/pipe boxes on the right and up toward the top of the retaining wall on the left.
A lot of work in the center of the site. Guessing this is for the backstage marina for Fantasmic.
Here you can see them bringing in more dirt behind the wall along the Big Thunder Trail.
All the steel i-beams look to be in place now in this section.
A closer look at the center of the site.
Back to the near area.. you can see more staked out but hard to really understand it from this distance/angle.
A closer look at the i-beams
The mound of dirt is slowly disappearing. As dirt is used they continue to level/sculpt it.
Looking toward Critter Country.
From the tram looking at what used to be the roadway to the backstage gate.
You really cannot see much from ground level here with the trees, fence, and mounds of dirt.
Only two attractions listed as closed today.
Only a few more weeks and all the diamonds and blue will start to disappear.
First stop today DCA.
I will be happy to see all this blue go. I miss the red, white and blue in the summer.

Only one week left to catch the All-American College Band before their summer ends.
Meet the 2016 All-American College Band as they play a Disney Medley.
The 4pm Frozen show was cancelled today. Someone told me the first show stopped midway. Did not hear if the second occurred. The 4th show did happen but had some minor glitches.
Some repainting near the Sunset Theater
Next stop Disneyland. The C.K. Holiday completed a renovation recently and is looking great at the Main Street station.
It is fun to talk to the engineers and learn about the operation of the steam trains.
Still almost a year before you will be able to head off for a Grand Circle Tour of Disneyland.
Balloons on Main Street USA
Disneyland wait times at 4:11pm
Making my way to the Big Thunder Trail. It was quiet this afternoon.
No real visible change with the walls.
No one standing in front of the concept art this week.. so a clear picture of the tag line that was added a couple weeks ago.
A look through the fence at the wall along the Big Thunder Trail and the one towering in the back.
Looking up the trail.
A gap between the two walls.
A clearer shot up the trail. Notice the larger wall in the background and the steel i-beams visible beyond. Assuming those will be for rock work. From this angle you can see how they all line up.
Renovation work continues out on the island.
The Columbia sails are still gone.
More renovation work.
From the Critter Country Canoe Dock area. Not a lot of visible change as they are still doing conduit and utility work.
More conduit waiting to be used.
A reverse angle of the structure.. but I goofed and auto focus grabbed the tree..
Next stop New Orleans Square to learn about steam propulsion systems.
Work continues on the facades.
They close at 5pm and we were among the last guests to leave. Notice the curtain on the is drawn.

A check of the waits at Disneyland just before 8pm

Passing through Tomorrowland
Tomorrowland
The parade lights on City Hall did not rise up so they were pointing up at the building instead.
This past week Disney confirmed that Paint the Night, Disneyland Forever and World of Color Celebrate will all end on Labor Day.
So here are some Paint the Night Pictures from Friday.
No official word if Paint the Night is leaving or going seasonal.
Cinerella in Paint the Night
Ana and Elsa from Frozen
Found a spot for Disneyland Forever. Always a gamble of how many kids, ipads, balloons will move into your line of sight.
Tonight only a couple kids.. but right in the way.
Disney did announce the return of Fantasy in the Sky on weekends after Labor Day (on non-Halloween Party nights).
