Arriving at the Disneyland Resort from Harbor Blvd. The sign has been repainted and has 60th Anniversary diamond additions.

The back of this shirt with attraction openings is interesting at which ones were choosen and which were left off. For example Soarin is not there but the fun wheel is and that was not the name when it opened. And Cars Land by itself.. why not Toontown then?

Grizzly Peak Airfield opened last week. This is my first look around.
The Soarin building is now mostly green and the focus has been taken off the top of the building. No more large signage.
The basic layout of the area is the same, just the color scheme and signage has been updated.
A new watch tower takes the place of the rocket engine and tower.

The Pixar Play Parade Monsters Inc Drum has a reference to the 60th now. I did not notice any other changes.
Sunglass Hut has taken over the kiosk near the Corn Dog Castle (the parade was still going on so no pics of the other side today)

Appears they have opted to not do napkin designs anymore.. they are still plain, brown, napkins.

Noticed what looks like new fountains right up against the viewing area.
Took a walk over to Paradise Park to check them out. The roped off area in the distance is where the VIPs will be and the stage for the premiere tonight.
Here is a better view. It is a really small a set up. For later reference I was in the middle row on the riser more or less over the plants on the right in this picture for the show.

Walked through Cars Land.
Learned the Backlot closed at 4:30.. so that meant my plan of walking that way was not going to work.
A sign encouraging you to post your comments on Buena Vista Street. I liked the idea but it really did not fit with the 1930 theme.
Thought the clouds were interesting in this picture. Also note the marquee is still the regular Carthay Circle World Premiere.. this will change come Friday.
Hard to tell but the corner decorative elements are covered in diamonds..

Today was Wednesday so the Annual Passholder Wednesday with Walt event was going on. I did not have time to go though.

Blue skies.. first time in a while I had a decent weather day at a Disney park.

Sleeping Beauty Castle is just about ready.. only the final logo unveiling to go (that is Thursday at 1pm)

The walls are down from around Peter Pan which helps with traffic flow. Curtains up since it does not open until July 1.
The scaffolding and walls are down from the facade renovation of Pinocchio too.
The Matterhorn reopens Friday. Today they were doing some cast member previews. No soft opening though.
Monorail Orange still has the Tomorrowland wrap.
One of the new Diamond Celebration photo spots has opened. This one near the Matterhorn. There will be 6 total between the two parks eventually.

The Mad T Party food truck had a light display in the windows.
The Diamond Mad T Party officially opens Friday. They did not bring back the performance stage by the House of Cards.

The Tweedles came out to the Main Stage and watched what appeared to be some of their home videos from a trip to Disneyland. (I missed the intro)

In position and waiting for the World of Color - Celebrate! Premiere.
Disney Parks Chairman Bob Chapek takes the stage to open the event.
He is joined by Neil Patrick Harris and Mickey Mouse who are the hosts of the new show.

Here is a video of the first 7 minutes of the show featuring the opening and the It Was All Started By a Mouse segments.
Next up is the Golden Age of Animation. Note the Peter Pan clip is hand drawn just for this show.
Walt makes several appearances throughout the show.
Animation starts with Snow White and goes up through Frozen.. with a Let it Go segment of course.
Here you can see the new smoke effects, the fountain heads that were close to the viewing area.
