Disneyland Resort Pictures
The text list below contains the captions of all images in the set.
Arrived at the Disneyland Resort before park opening this morning. Noticed a Cars Land window at World of Disney.
Starbucks is slowly moving along.
Another new window, this time Glow with the Show Ears. They had World of Color, Fantasmic, and Fireworks in the background but thanks to the glare I did not get any decent pictures.
A new kiosk being constructed across from La Brea Bakery.
No signs of what it will be.
No lines to get into Disneyland.
DCA was equally quiet.
The stage for Minnies Charter Airlines has been removed.
The speakers are still up but that is really the only signs there was a show here.
Heading out toward the Pier.
Toy Story had not opened for the day yet, they were having some problems.
Viva Navidad was all quiet, it does not start until 11am.
A parade of vending carts heading out this morning.
random Buena Vista Street tree picture as I strolled by.
On my way to Disneyland. They put some characters up on the train station on the backside of the Candlelight preparations
The Disneyland Railroad operations were impacted by the Candlelight.
There were guests already waiting on the benches (which were first come first serve).
The stage looked the same as always.
Making my way down Main Street USA
A flower market has sprung up at Center Street.
I did a quick walk through.
The wait times around 8:50am
First stop the Jingle Cruise
As we waiting the rain started to come down (weather.com said 9am and it was pretty much dead on!).
The tiger has returned to the ruins.
Some ducks hanging out on an elephant.
The gorilla scene has been changed since my last trip.. it now features some Jingle overlay items...
A couple presents in the box but other than these two areas nothing else has made its way into the Jungle.
Our skipper did the normal spiel so it was very disappointing (and she did not even do that too well).
Next up Haunted Mansion Holiday
It has been quite a few weeks since I visited. Almost through the advent calendar now.
Quiet along the rivers with the light drizzle.
Visited the Temple of the Forbidden Eye next.
The rain was coming down again/still.
A fair number of guests still arriving. Seems they were all putting faith in the weather forecast of it clearing up this afternoon.
Went for a spin on Buzz and had a great score, but somehow it lost my picture.. oh well.
2014 Merchandise is out in the stores now.
Hollywood Blvd, still raining..
Donald at a reception I attended.
Frozen cupcakes.
Found this interesting.. because of the wet pavement it appeared.
The sky looked fairly threatening.
Then a few glimmers of hope.
The Racers were down.
Seems this was the car that caused the issue.
One of the presents in Paradise Park
Be sure to look carefully at the wrapping paper.
Hermanos Herrera performing at the Paradise Garden Bandstand.
Worked my way around to Toy Story. My score.
Not even close to a high score
The holiday mugs.
The Racers had re-opened.
Almost race time.
This tractor did not tip...
Sarges
The waits around 1:45pm
Some of the holiday treats in Trolley Treats
Today was a candy cane day at DCA. Here they are packaging a batch
For those who do not know, Disneyland and DCA each make fresh candy canes on select days throughout the season. They are $12.99 each and no discounts apply. You need to get a wristband at park opening and it will tell you which batch and when to come back to pick it up.
The waits around 2:00pm
The weather was finally clearing and looking promising now. Just cold.
Went for a cruise on Small World Holiday
Seems some damaged occurred here recently. I do not recall seeing this last time through, but may have missed it.
The Storybook Canal was closed for renovation.
As was Casey Jr.
The word on the internet is the skyway station up behind the trees will be removed in the coming year. You can only see a few glimpses of it. Wonder if the trees will be cut back or just left as a forest.
Time for the Holiday Hillbillies.
My favorite part of the show.. the Country Bears!
Minnie at the Jamboree
Pluto
Goofy
Main Street was alive with activity.
Replacing a light for the Candlelight. Wonder if the rain caused a problem.
Blair Underwood out for a walk through.
Showtime.. Nancy and the orchestra getting warmed up and performing.
The start of the processional.
One of my favorite moments of the show when the lights come up and the trumpets and choir hit that first note!
The guest narrator this evening was Blair Underwood (Sunday is scheduled to be Kurt Russell)
Candlelight Carol video clip, this year I just enjoyed the show and took some stills and this one video clip. Last year I did several video clips if you were interested check out our YouTube channel
Silent Night
I was not in a good spot for this.. a pole in the distance in my way.
Here is a video clip from last year of this segment of the ceremony.
He finally looks our way and I do not have the camera ready.. oops.
This year the ceremony seemed shorter to me. It clocked in around an hour which is normal according to those that record the entire event. They cut the solitary life section, here is a clip of that from last year.
Caught Five and Dime over at DCA. Dime has a new costume but due to the cold weather she had the heavy jacket on over it.
Walking down Hollywood Blvd.
No Mad T Party Band tonight.. just a DJ on stage.
Only a couple minute wait for the Flying Tires so went for a flight.
Thought the moon in this picture was interesting.
Santa Mater making his way to the Cozy Cone
After the opening sequence of World of Color saw this cloud of mist heading our way and thought it was going to be a moist show.. lucked out and it was not, seem the wind shifted or stopped.
Some random pictures from World of Color Winter Dreams.
Snow Flakes
This evening some floated down on the audience.
A light caught this one..
This ended our long, cold, and wet day at the parks.
On the way out saw this poster on the ticket booths.
As you entered DCA there were flyers announcing the Fun Wheel Challenge game.
