Trip Log:

We were up and out of the room a little after 6:00am and on our way to breakfast. First we tried to catch a shuttle, but ended up having to walk through the Grand Californian and into DCA. Headed to the media center to grab breakfast and figure out a game plan then did one last walk through Cars Land to see the final preparations since the thousands of guests lined up outside will be entering in a couple hours. Made our way to Carthay Circle to find a spot for the re dedication ceremony. Watched the show then got in front of the crowd that was being led to Cars Land. Watched the first guests head into the Radiator Springs Racers. Hung around Cars Land for a while watching the crowds swarm in and enjoy the land. Walked around the Radiator Springs Racers area taking some pictures and watching the line grow. Also ran into a lot of Disney folks and talked to them and took some of their pictures. Made my way down Route 66 to meet up with some friends near Maters and picked up some a couple of the free Buttons that were being passed out today. Then stopped by the Blue Sky Cellar for some pictures looking into Cars Land before making my way around GRR and back to the Grand CA to move my bags out of the room since it was our day to check out. Dropped the bags in a friends room then back to DCA. Walked through Condor Flats to Buena Vista Street. Hung out in Carthay Circle for a while then stopped by the Blue Sky Cellar as we made our way out to Paradise Park. Watched the premiere of the Instant Concert!... Just Add Water and then walked back down the Parade route and Buena Vista Street to head for Disneyland. Arrived on Main Street and had a few minutes to rest before the Voices of Liberty performance. Watched their show followed by Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln then strolled down Main Street USA and stopped for lunch at Plaza Inn. After lunch walked around the hub and out to the Matterhorn to see if the climbers were out, they were not so circled the mountain and found ourselves back in the hub. Walked through Frontierland and out to the Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree. Spent some time there then wandered through Fantasyland and the Castle back to the hub. Watched the All American College Band perform in front of the Castle then back to the Matterhorn to catch the Climbers and Happy Hans. After their performance it was back to DCA. Explored Buena Vista Street a bit on the to Hollywood Land to check out the Dancin With Disney event on Stage 17. Circled the dance floor then stopped by the merchandise event and bought a couple pins. Decided to make another walk through Cars Land to check out the lines. Things were busy but calm as I walked down Route 66. Wandered around the Cozy Cones, Flos, and out by the Racers entrance. Then walked along the Racers queue which was now entirely inside Cars Land again. Then made my way back up Route 66 to the parade route. Crossed the Pixar Play Parade in Carthay Circle and headed for Disneyland to catch the Flag Retreat. After the ceremony grabbed a bite to eat at the Stage Door Cafe then back to Main Street by way of Adventureland to catch the pre-parade College Band sets. Headed to the Train Station to watch Soundsational then pulled up a curb for the College Band set in front of the Train Station to wrap up my evening at Disneyland. After the set it was back to DCA and made my way through Buena Vista Street and then Condor Flats to head back to the Grand CA. Picked up ours bags and headed for the car and home to conclude three very busy days at the Disneyland Resort.

Other Interesting Stats:
* Moderate Walking Stats (meaning over 2.5mph): 15,008 steps, 131 minutes.

For Comparisons to other trips or more park miles click here to visit our park Miles Section.

Note: These totals may be skewed because the pedometer is zero'd when we start and then left alone and read when we leave. So attractions, and other things may cause extra "steps" to be counted. The pedometer that we use basically measures up/down motion as a step, so if your standing in line and moving up and down it may be counting steps, etc.. so the total distances traveled and steps may be off.. so use these as rough distance comparisons between trips and they may not be accurate in terms of actual distance traveled.
