We first headed up to Deck 12 and the Aquaduck. Went for a handful of rides with no wait at all. But after our last one it seemed the masses had arrived so we decided it was time to leave.
    Someone out para-sailing
Spotted him while heading back to the room. We had to walk through Cabanas to get to the aft elevators.

Once back in the room found some info for Pirates Night. Including a schedule, a warning that fireworks would be going off our side of the ship and some bandanas.
    Here is the schedule.
From our room. Some boats out in the lagoon.

While scanning across the island saw this area. Looked like a work/storage area.
Anyone know what they are doing with all the sand near the dock? It appeared they were using the barge to bring it up and ashore.
    A closer look.
  • Page Number: 4
    Even closer, some equipment.
The observation tower looks so far away, even with the telephoto lens.
  • Page Number: 5
Guessing those buildings behind Cookies where the communications tree is are for the cast members that stay on the island.
A wide shot of the area. Here you can see the sand area on the right.
Some sort of activity going on in the snorkeling space.

If anyone was curious here is the position of Castaway Cay.
A completely random shot.. but if you wanted to see the size of the mini fridge in the state rooms here it is.

Walked by Animators Palate and here is the menu for the evening.

More guests returning, this was taken from down on deck 3.
Trash, unused supplies, etc.. on their way back to the ship.
    Setting up the ramp.
  • Page Number: 10
I enjoyed watching them move the supplies off the ship and trash, etc.. back onto the ship. They wasted no time at all and had equipment and things moving around quickly.

Setting sail from Castaway Cay. In this set of video clips we push away, some updates from Captain Gus, as well as the ships horn playing.
The cast members who were staying on the island waving goodbye to us.

Once we were on our way we headed down to Animators Palate for dinner. As mentioned earlier it was Pirate Night tonight.

The room was not playing the regular show. It had a slideshow feature Disney Pirates.. from Peter Pan to Pirates of the Caribbean (both the films and attraction) to Tom Sawyer Island @ Disneyland.

There were cast members out entertaining and interacting with the crowd while waiting for the show to begin.

    Show time...
  • Page Number: 33
This video was shot from Deck 12 looking at the stage. Thanks to the poor camera and lighting plus distance it is hard to see what is going on.. but you can hear and get a drift of the show. When combined with the pictures and some other clips in a few pages it will give you a good feel for the show.

Decided to give the balcony a try in the Walt Disney Theater this evening. So we entered from Deck 4. Here is the view.
The act this evening was a comedy/juggling duo.

Swung back by the room before heading upstairs for the fireworks.
Random light shot on Deck 11.

Stopped by Maters for a snack.
A great snack (and sorry to report much better than dinner was this evening for me)
Thought this was a bit tacky.. a cart selling glow stuff on deck for the Pirate party. Just like the parks (which I do not like them there either).
  • Page Number: 53
While waiting for the show to begin Kids took over the floor (the pools on deck 11 were covered for the event). It was great watching them sword fight.. pirate sword against light saber.. gun again sword. You name it they were swinging it at each other!
Filling in as show time approached.

    Showtime..
From where I was you could see everything but the pictures of the fireworks were boring.. just fireworks in the sky.. I opted for the best view of the stage I could get.
  • Page Number: 55
Is is a complete video of the Buccaneer Blast Fireworks and stage show afterwards. Again I apologize in advance for the wide angle and bad quality.
The deck really filled in during the show.
  • Page Number: 56
After the fireworks Pirates took over the stage.
and Jack Sparrow made an appearance high above.

Then repelled down to the deck.

A couple of clips of Club Pirate...
The Aquaduck was reopened after the fireworks.

Cast members through out the decks to engage the crowd.
Found this a bit odd that the cruise director and other officers were up on the slide observing the events instead of interacting with guests.
  • Page Number: 66
On the way back to the room walked through Cabanas and the dessert buffet before calling it a night.
