We next headed out toward the airstrip and beyond.
Some signs to guide you along.
Another driveway to head to the cabanas.
  • Page Number: 2
An extra tram parked on the airstrip. They were only using one to get out to serenity bay.
  • Page Number: 3
It looks like such a long walk...
Looking back at where we just came from.
    Heading down the airstrip.
  • Page Number: 4
A tram heading out to the bay.
This one not decorated... just the ones on the main route were.
  • Page Number: 5
A ways down the airstrip is a turn off for the Observation Tower and a bike path.
I decided to hike out and see what it was like. The rest of the group carried on to the bay to relax.
  • Page Number: 6
A warning sign of how long the loop is.. so pushing a mile out to the tower and back.
Water for the bike riders, 5K participants, and I guess others like me that decide to wander down the trail.
  • Page Number: 7
    Plenty of warnings.
After a while came to a fork in the road. The trail forms a circle at this point. You are directed to go right and around it counter clockwise.

  • Page Number: 9
A couple of service roads intersected the trail.
  • Page Number: 10
Some not as defined as others.
Moving right along.. 20% the way there.. so almost halfway to the tower.
  • Page Number: 11
Along the way were props and other random items.
    Looking back down the trail.
A closer look at the props.
  • Page Number: 12

    Heading up..
From on top you can look out in 360 degrees. This is looking to the far side of the island. Opposite the developed area.
Looking the other way you can see the ship in the distance and the trail in the foreground.
  • Page Number: 21
A closer shot of the ship
The the brush some random props. To the right behind those trees is serenity bay.
    A closer look.
  • Page Number: 22
Not sure if this line and boxes were to keep things out or in or some type of monitoring system.
It was nice and peaceful out here. After that group left I had the tower to myself for quite a while.
  • Page Number: 23
    A wider shot.
  • Page Number: 24
With the telephoto lens you could get a decent shot of the ship.

Looking out to sea you can see the next island in the distance.
  • Page Number: 26

  • Page Number: 29
A couple video clips of the view (and peace/quiet of the tower).
