    For the Sailing Away party I found a spot on the rail on Deck 12 overlooking the pool and straight on with the stage.
    One last look over the side at the cruise terminal (had someone hold my spot for me).

    As soon as the show ended I went to the rail and we were already pushed away. Here you can see the the water being turned up by the thrusters.

    I moved up to the front of the ship on Deck 13 to get a view of us heading out to sea. Here you can see the channel. We will be following that other ship out.
    The Carnival ship that was also docked near by is well out to sea already.

    The sail of the former Navy Nuclear Submarine, Nathanael Greene. The sail was placed here in 2003.

    Cars lined up in the park. Some fishing, but others there just to watch the parade of cruise ships heading out.

    As we moved down the channel the captain played the horn several times. The Disney Cruise ship horns play some famous Disney songs. Here are some clips.
    Some of the crowd that lined the shore to see the ships leave. The Disney horn seemed to be a crowd favorite.

    One last look down toward Cocoa Beach before heading down for dinner.
    This evening we were in the Enchanted Garden located down on Deck 2 Midship.

    As the evening went on it went from daylight to dark in the garden.

    A hidden Mickey?
    I thought it was great how all the lighting show equipment can be retracted and hidden when not in use.

    Show time (the lighting really gave me fits.. so these are the best of what I got). The official name of the event is King Tritons Tree Lighting Decree.

    A little hard to tell but it started to snow a bit.

    Had some time between the tree lighting and Golden Mickeys so went through the shops.

    After shopping went to the Golden Mickeys (see Part V for pictures of the show).
    Stopped by the room for a jacket before heading up on deck. This creation greeted us.

    Went up to Deck 11 and had to walk through Cabanas to get out to the open deck area.
    The Funnel Vision had the Sunday Night Football game out. Due to the cold, wind, and rolling ship the decks were pretty empty. With the pool and Aquaduck both closed.

    After our walk around deck headed back to the room for a shower and to call it a night.. wanted to grab a picture of the soap, etc...
    And to close with one of the towels. That wraps up day 1.
