EPCOT - Future World |
Future World is the gateway to the park (once the EPCOT resorts opened the International Gateway was added between the UK and France as a secondary entrance for Resort guests). The parking lot, monorail, and bus stops are all located in front of Future World. Here you can choose to explore communication, the oceans, the land, your imagination, automotive proving grounds, space flight, your body, or energy. Not to mention seeing the latest and greatest technology has to offer in Innoventions. If you think of Future World as a big circle, directly in front of you is Spaceship Earth, behind it are the two Innoventions buildings. Starting from your left and working clockwise are: Universe of Energy, Wonders of Life, Mission Space, Test Track, the gateway to World Showcase(which is the top of the circle, 12 o'clock, furthest from you), Journey into Imagination, The Land, and finally The Living Seas.

Geek's Thoughts & Suggestions |
Upon entering the park DO NOT get sucked into the mindless heard that will wait to go on Spaceship Earth. During the early part of the day the line is usually long for this attraction, but if you come back in late afternoon you can just stroll right on without even breaking stride… For an enjoyable break, stop and watch the Fountain (located between the two innoventions buildings). This large fountain "performs" several times an hour. Also be sure to note the wind direction and don't get stuck "downwind" unless you want to get wet. We were extremely disappointed to learn that the menu at the Electric Umbrella has changed so much... what happened to the Pizza... and do not say the cart on the way to Test Track, because it always seems to be closed. Another note about closed. Most of Future World is closed by 7pm now a days. Only a couple of the dining areas, and the thrill rides are open late most of the time.
